Khun Chai Ronnapeeeee

Hello? Am I still alive? I think I might be dead.

This show is killing me, you guuys, and it’s not even done yet. I don’t know if I’ll have anything left to feel once they are through with me.

Each episodes this weekend takes us incrementally closer and closer to the relevation about Phee’s identity and status, a man of contradictions. He can singlehandedly oppose and fight an army of men, but cannot face the truth with his little lady, Piangkwan. If you’ve been following this series, or my blog entries about Khun Chai Ronnapee, you’d know that the deception started on a simple basis, but now has grown into one of the biggest conflict that will inevitably tear the two apart.

ks301

Don picks up a name card of the condominium Pim lives in and brings her back. Pim is delirious and falling over herself from the drug and Don struggles to haul her into her apartment. Amidst the struggling, they have a romantic look-into-each-other’s-eyes moment but Pim swiftly breaks it by puking on Don and promptly passing out. Ah, only a man in love like Don could possibly clean up the puke while smiling and in a state of bliss. He takes off his dirty shirt (still with a singlet on dang it) and lays Pim down on the sofa and wipes her face with a wet towel. She wakes up from the cold and initially blasts Don for pretending to help and shouts that all men are hypocrites which she can see right through because she is not stupid. Don asks Pim to rest but she suddenly deflates like a balloon and mumbles that she is indeed stupid. She drags Don over on the sofa and starts tearfully telling him about the events that transpired between her and Eg. The drug has stripped Pim of her usual hard as nails shell and she finds herself unburdening the hurt that she has kept inside to this man who is practically a stranger. At the end of her tirade, she angrily says through her tears that there’s no good man left in this world and Don only looks at her silently in response.

Fah Krajang Dao Episode 2

Screen Shot 2013-06-27 at 3.25.23 PM

In our second episode, we get a better understanding on what or who inspired Mee to pursue news writing, as we glean more details in her lurid past. Not only is she battling against her bratty nephew, but she has to fend off our Sarawat Heran, whom despite her greatest intentions to steer clear, is getting ever too close to her. Perhaps this is a task for her partner in crime, Waree, who puts one of her theories to test. But embarrassing herself in the process, would be another matter entirely. We are also met with Muat Dao who from the onset, doesn’t care for Mee, and it’s too convenient to think that it’s merely a secondary character’s behavior. And on a crime case by case basis, our reporter-officer duo, is going to end up spending a lot more time together than they’ve anticipated.

Taking over our Wednesday-Thursday timeslot for channel 3 is Fah Krajang Dao, the conclusion to Sarm Taharn Suea Sao series, aka The Three Musketeers Series, starring Matt Peeranee and Boy Pakorn. In this premier episode, we follow Meekana’s life, what makes her tick and how she became a crime reporter for Siam Sarn. Much to her chagrin, she gets assigned to write a charity fashion show column where she meets Chief Police Inspector Heran, who becomes quite smitten with her. On top of that, she gets a new, young visitor in town whom she must take under her wing. Lots of changes and new additions for our heroine, let’s see how she handles them all.

Exploring the context of love: Khun Chai Ronnapee

John Lennon was onto something when he wrote, “All you need is love,” which ties in really well with the theme of love explored in this drama, Khun Chai Ronnapee, and that with love all things is possible.

Along with the brooding, realistic tone from last weekend’s installment, the drama takes it up a notch by examining the fear, passion and love from within our characters, which offers depth to the story and solidifies the acting, directing and scriptwriting, I really could not ask for more, it’s completely my cup of tea, so hat’s off to Medtha Lae Mahaniyom.

Mon Jantra Episode 11 Final

After all of the gunshots, explosions and car flips, we do get quite the cute ending. Waree will go down as being the most indecisive heroine, and Sama, well, he’s gotta be the sappiest, most sensitive mob leader ever, which is awesome. So go Sama! I hope this ending brings you much smiles and joy as we close out the first collaboration between the electric couple, Chakrit and Margie.

Mon Jantra Episode 10

Oh my dear heart, I don’t think it can handle seeing Sama’s tears. And I’m so sorry show, that I ever doubted that Sama wouldn’t learn, wouldn’t choose. He’s done it all, and yet the girl he loved couldn’t see past what she hates. Pfft. But there’s tremendous development (even if it appears we’re addressing the same issue) but each character is taking that next step towards the precipitance. I like. This episode is exciting yet emotional at the same time.

A letter to Khun Chai Ronnapee

lovefia

To my dearest Khun Chai Nong~

I hope this letter finds you well. I know you have been lonely. Being the last bachelor in the house, being the notorious rake and yet, being bested by your older brothers who seem more happier than ever with their soulmates. You must be nostalgic. Everything that you’re so sure about suddenly doesn’t make sense anymore. Like that singer bee who wants you for your title, your popularity and your immense palace. I know it didn’t used to bother you. Do you know why that is? I must break some bitter sweet news to you, my dear sweet, sweet younger brother, you have grown up. Congratulations.

Coming Soon: Fah Krajang Dao

lovefia

Posted on June 18, 2013

fahkrajangdao

We are closing out the 3 Musketeers Series with Fah Krajang Dao, starring Matt Peeranee and Boy Pakorn as Meekana and Sarawat Heran respectively. The series started out sweet and romantic with Maya Tawan, then action packed with Mon Jantra, and now, we have a serious drama on our hands. This final story tackles the grave and challenging issues affronting society, especially prostitution and human trafficking, which mirrors our heroine’s childhood struggles. Her painful upbringing propels Meekana to pursue crime reporting within Siam Sarn, and she meets chief police inspector (Sarawat) Heran who is not only someone she runs into and works closely with, but this Sarawat rekindles those human emotions that Mee worked so hard to keep locked up.

“A man like you has the opportunity to meet many women, not one who is suppressive or have family issues like me.”

“I know you’re scared. You’re afraid to open the feelings that you’ve carefully hid for so long. But I will wait for you, I won’t go anywhere.”
