To my dearest Khun Chai Nong~
I hope this letter finds you well. I know you have been lonely. Being the last bachelor in the house, being the notorious rake and yet, being bested by your older brothers who seem more happier than ever with their soulmates. You must be nostalgic. Everything that you’re so sure about suddenly doesn’t make sense anymore. Like that singer bee who wants you for your title, your popularity and your immense palace. I know it didn’t used to bother you. Do you know why that is? I must break some bitter sweet news to you, my dear sweet, sweet younger brother, you have grown up. Congratulations.
You know, watching you four series ago, you were just a boy looking for a good time. Then through your bothers’ trials and tribulations- in which you stuck with them as a dedicated, fearless younger bro- you have learned a thing or two about life. Now you want something your brothers have, true love. Love that doesn’t see you for your uniform and noble title, love that is beautiful (per Chai Yai), love that makes you a little crazy and restless when you know she’s angry at you (per Chai Ruj), love that makes you argue as if you’ve known her forever (per Chai Lek) and finally, love that forces you to be irrational (per Chai Pat.) I know that these all don’t sound like a good disposition to be in, but clearly it is evident that it makes your brothers happy.
And I understand your reasons when you met the proverbial angel from above who lands in your arms, you knew you had to tread carefully. So you wanted to be a normal guy for once and see if she will love you for who you are. But be careful my dear, you appear to sustain foot-in-mouth syndrome, where you’ll egg her on, insulting her enough so she can tell you what you want to hear. I know you’re a man, and you’ll be susceptible to that condition every now and then, but gosh darn it, you’re such a devil. ‘Just call me Phee’ like you’re Barbie with no last name. It’s good to see that you still possess that playful banter you’re so notorious for. And it’s a good thing that this puzzling girl you’re unknowingly pursuing is quite the strong gem.
She is like a puzzle, isn’t she? I know you heard that she’s quite the connoisseur with men: the director, the nasty sia, and even your best bud. Is it because she’s so beautiful-in which you can attest to since you were smitten with her from first encounter- or could it be something else? I know curious mind like yourself, want to know, so you’ve been following her and realizing that there is so much more to this fascinating Piangkwan than meets the eye. You must wonder if she’s exhausted by all of the random acting jobs she picked up, why there are no males in her household- just a mere boy who is wise beyond his years- and you finally must wonder why your two feet and vehicle seem to bring you to a stilted house on the farm. Every. Single. Time.
There is so much for you yet to learn. Like your friend advised, as a soldier, your life is for your country, and your tears are for her. Which I hope and perhaps know that you will shed many, as your biggest hurdle is your grannies and the expectation to marry Vilairumpa (watch your back for that snake.) And I hope that you will spare some tears for Piangkwan too, because she is just the kind who will hide them. Despite life handing her many lemons, she’s resilient. Yet even the strongest need a shoulder to cry on. I hope you will be that.
So I’ll be watching, and cheering you on, na ka. May luck and the support from your four lion brothers be with you. I hope we get to see you smile and tease again.
From yours truly, your sentimental p’sao. Rak nong mak mak mak mak tee sut!

P.S. Because this is what awaits you at the end of the road..
That was a cute letter!
Good job! Best prologue I’ve ever read. Very creative to turn it into a letter. I am really loving this series.
Love this letter. Thank you!
Wonderfully written letter indeed. I’m going to be crying when the entire series is over. It’ll be bittersweet.
I love your letter! I have to say that the tone is quite dark and very depressing at times…I guess this series is suppose to be super melodramatic?? Again, I do feel the pull of having to finish this for the sake of my favorite couples but I don’t yet feel a deep connection for Kwan or Chai Pee. I do love Mint in here she is very pretty and fiesty too 🙂
TBH I feel like I am watching this just for Chai Pat and Kaew, is that very terrible for me to say?! I can’t wait for the scene where he kisses her at the table…SQUEEEE…
It is sad though to see that she is still discriminated against by that evil Rampa…Ugh but that is life…
Can’t wait to read more of your thoughts for this coming week.

I am kinda in love with all these guys. Something in me wants to think that the ‘father’ of the evil girls is hiding something, and didn’t get the assurance from Pee Chai’s father before he died. Am I the only one thinking he is a lying liar that lies just to get his daughters married off for the money? Don’t feel sorry for those two ‘mean girls’ at all. I LOVE all the other characters (exception of course the evil mother from this last series) so I want more of them on the screen.
First of all, I love your letter and I too have the same message for him!!
I actually like this lakorn it is slow however something good things start in slow paces. Also for the end credits ost it seems as there are tons of drama in store for the viewers and also one 1.5 eps have passed. Plus, I must say I am impressed with Chalida I didn’t expect her character to be so strong. So far I have seen lakorns with female who are weak (and who can’t really support themselves with a male’s help). It nice to see a strong header leader plus what attracted me the most is the way she act towards the rumors and the bullies. Many people might disagree but her way of not caring about these make them look stupid, yes it true it makes people feel as if she is stupid for not defending herself but what’s the point… of they just judge you by rumors then their is no point of you wasting your time to prove yourself (a true life lesson) and at the end I hope all the bullies to learn a lesson (love to see them all beg her forgiveness even the male lead). Also I am loving the James&Mint combination extremely cute… even though he is rude to her I can’t wait for him to fall in love with her (can’t wait to see some jealously and even some possessiveness). Overall, this lakorn is actually better than I expected. I really expected so much drama in Nok’s lakorn… really excited to watch more and can’t wait for Friday!!
And sorry for the long reply =)
Thanks so much everyone. This final series, closing out the whole show, has put me in a reflective, brooding mood. Not completely bad, but just sad because the fun is coming to an end. We’ve really quite enjoyed ourselves with our little gentlemen rascals, didn’t we? I will miss them so.
@Darcy, I’m surprised they are finally showing tidbits of suspicion regarding the Tewaprom father. This man is far from noble, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s hiding skeletons in his closet. Perhaps this handy promise was all a lie? Wouldn’t that be a hoot!
Let’s all not miss out on this last story. Support our wonderful Chai Lek na ka, fighting!
i have to disagree that this is slow pace. its pretty fast to me. its the music that makes it extremely slow. bg music being played ag the wrong time and the feel of it is inappropriate at times. i know some people think chai pee has drastically change… nok did it really fast by showing that congo girl being more interested in his status. so for those who complained about being slow, pls feel me in to as why it is so slow. the man has already have a growing crush on kwan the moment he laid eyes on her. he has already met her family and is trying to intervine into her life lol kind of creepy that he keeps stalking her lol
i am really savoring this part of the series. this is battling with khun chai rachanon for a place in my heart keke
Oh dear p’fia, just reading your letter brings great tears of joy and love for I am completely invested in these two characters. So so much potential and their yearning for deep and profound love is very heart wrenching. Thank you again for your wonderful insightful and beautifully written letter. I too love these two people and their families and cheering them on with much joy.
I am more interested in this last couple. I want to see how James will unravel the drama. Very exciting!!!
