Thanat’s Weakness and that Painful Confrontation – Dao Kon La Duang

lovefia

Posted on January 26, 2021

Cold pra’eks go well with a nice glass of iced cold water. If you like to feel pain and angst, this second episode may quench your thirst. I did not intend to write another post (I mean so soon) because I was just minding my own business on Twitter, tweeting and watching, and that was the plan for the rest of Dao Kon La Duang. It’s a great place to share your thirsty tweets by the way (hahaha), but this second episode is even better than the first (and the first was pretty great), and compelling enough that I want to share what happened.

Dao Kon La Duang – First Impressions

lovefia

Posted on January 25, 2021

Craving for an action drama? Perhaps with a love triangle? Dao Kon La Duang may be of interest to you. Taking over Monday-Tuesday timeslot on Channel 3, and produced by Arlong Production, we have Grate Warintorn starring as Thanat (or Nat), a police captain who undergoes a hostage rescue mission gone bad. While risking his life to save the last two hostages, the entire cabin explodes, and he is presumed dead. Leaving behind a very distraught love interest, Dr. Chalanthorn played by Boom Suphaphorn, who has now lost two people whom she cared deeply about (the first was her little sister from a car explosion.) Which is why, after mourning for three years, Chalanthorn (or Lan) decides to live in the present and give…

Weekend Watch: My Hero Series 2&3

lovefia

Posted on July 1, 2018

What is everyone watching these past few weekends? Are you staying on top of currently airing weekend lakorns or catching up on past lakorns? Weekends are tough on my schedule, so I don’t usually have time for lakorns, but I still try to tune in on Sunday nights and see if any of the weekend installments catch my eye. I’m here to report that both aren’t really my cup of tea, but maybe it could be yours?

Posted on June 10, 2018

I know we’re not ready to say goodbye to our current action lakorn lineup Likit Rak and Neung Dao Fah Diew, though thankfully we have a few more episodes left to indulge ourselves, while Matupoom Haeng Huajai ended today. However, the lakorn horizon is getting serious and we should be prepared for that, and I am here if you need me.

Chippy and Great in Kon Lah Khop Fah – A Summary

lovefia

Posted on December 1, 2016

Chippy’s upcoming lakorn is like donning on her Tarntawan role again. Kon Lah Khop Fah plot reminds me a lot of Rang Tawan, though with a less PTSD type hero, which means less abuse towards our heroine. I’ll cheers to that any day.

Nang Ay

lovefia

Posted on September 27, 2016

Apiradee Anothai, or Nang (Nycha Nuttanicha), is a seventeen year old girl and life was pretty great, she has her iPhone and social media accounts, she has her biker friends, and knows that she can handle anything that comes her way. It’s the 21st century teenage confidence, if you will. But one day, she was caught in the wrong place and at the wrong time, the paparazzi splatters her image on the front page smearing her dad’s name (he’s a minister of state) that she was fighting over a man. She tries to defend herself to dad – because why shouldn’t he trust his seventeen year old daughter? – but no matter what she says, she just comes off being rude and disrespectful. So dad…

‘What money can buy’ in Nok’s Opinion – ‘Samee’

lovefia

Posted on December 5, 2013

A lot of things, certainly, Nok surmise. He is Khun Rarb’s bitch, so indebted and grateful for all that Khun Rarb has done for him that he willingly, voluntarily offers to do all of the dirty work for his best friend, master and angel from above. If Khun Rarb hadn’t been the charming bastard that he is, Nok’s assumed job wouldn’t have been so pleasant. But heaven above, it’s a fucked up world these rich people live in. Being the loyal and obedient miser that he is, Nok merely observe quietly to himself. He dare not utter his opinions nor offer recriminations. He only ponders and carries out any orders. But you can’t blame him for his thoughts. In fact, you don’t. One of…
