Ken P and Wawwa In Supernatural Lakorn “Kong Gra Pan Naree”

If you’re a fan of supernatural lakorns, Kong Gra Pan Naree (Invulnerable Woman), might be a good choice for you. This lakorn is slated to air on July 5, 2016 after Nang Tard, in the Monday-Tuesday timeslot. Broadcast Thai Production is spearheading this show, with Ken Pupoom and Wawwa as the leads. The story sounds very Thai superhero to me, and Wawwa plays this superhero called Kong Gra Pan Naree. Every 1000 years a power inhibits earth to conquer evil and it takes the form of Kong Gra Pan Naree. The person who possess this supernatural power can do some damage, if you can imagine, thus it’s wanted by everyone. Wawwa’s character’s name is Worramai aka Aeport who has to flee constantly to evade people wanting her power. She has no recollection of how she got the power or why, just that her eyes turn blue when the power displays itself. Ken Pupoom plays Nattaded, a cop who gets assigned to protect Worramai, and he helps her adapt to her powers and learn to control them. The two work together to carry out Kong Gra Pan Naree’s duty, which is to stop evil from taking over the world.

Oh, The Cute in Rang Tawan

Buahaha. Show brought on the CUTE today in episode 5. I might have busted a gut laughing, which is a nice reprieve from the crazy that was yesterday’s. Most importantly, we get moments between uncle and nephew, and the glue that ties them together: Tarntawan. My fondness for her is growing, especially when she gets cheeky. Cheeky heroine? Yes please.

Do Your Worse – Rang Tawan Episode 4

You’re all probably wondering what the hell went on in that late night, terrorizing moment on the beach. This episode goes dark and dirty, and just when we think our beast might be softening up a bit. I like this push and pull, watching the beast trying to understand the extent of his own aggression and why it is that people get pushed further and further away from him. It’s natural to regress a few steps. Taming of the beast isn’t the easiest task to take on, especially when SHE didn’t even sign up for it. I’m not even sure if our hero understands the deepest and darkest cavernous side of his own self.

One HD’s new Saturday lakorn, Ruk Fun Thalop, will make you want to go on a road trip. Even if the journey is fraught with what seems to be impossible conditions, the destination is tantamount to your future livelihood. What if by NOT going on this road trip, you will continue to live the same, single life you so desperately want to change?

The Waves of Life – Ride or Go Under?

This lakorn is going to hurt so good. Kluen Cheewit (The Waves of Life) is a novel that has been remade twice on television – one in 1995 featuring the Anfones (Johnny and Jareeya) and second one to be aired this year featuring Yaya Urassaya and Mark Prin. It’s highly anticipated not only for the main leads’ second time paring, but because of the collaboration between Producer Da Hathairat and Director Aew Ampaiporn who brought us Game Rai Game Rak, Sood Saneha, Sawan Biang, Rak Nee Hua Jai Rao Jong. This type of lakorn is their bread and butter. It’s a true romance drama, of the slap kiss nature, and everyone and their mom is waiting for this, including yours truly.

The Beast in Rang Tawan

This show has me flip flopping like no other. I am one moment – I love you – than another moment – I dislike you. This third episode has me in the ‘I must be crazy to love you’ camp. The tone is still very dark, I think Aum’s character will forever be a dark character, but we are seeing how shadows have casted themselves on him and how he struggles with other people’s perception of him. He’s likened to a beast – very Beauty and the Beast esque – if you will. Even closest people to him, his guards and lawyer, aren’t allowed in Suriyen’s heart – one that is locked up in a deep cave somewhere. Those guards are loyal to a fault, and they know their master’s true colors, but it’s the women and the rest of the population that think very badly of him and abandon him, and that made him into the guarded, wounded animal that he is today.

Is There Hope For Rang Tawan?

This show is fifty shades of crazy. It’s like Jam Loey Ruk all over again, only we have an innocent child in the mix and an unlikable heroine. I can handle crazy so long as there are characters I care about, but unfortunately I’ve cringed my way through the entire airtime. There is only so much I can support and understand a hero and his batshit crazy shenanigans, when I don’t have anything to root for. It’s exhausting.

Sean and Esther in Boy’s Paradise – Ugly Duckling TV Series

I was going through a Sean and Esther withdrawal after Leh Ratree and decided to check out Boy’s Paradise specifically to help ease the withdrawal pains. I think most of us can say that after we’ve seen one lakorn with our favorite pairing, it’s only natural to want to see everything that they’ve been in together. Sometimes I wish they can be in every lakorn together forever, because yunno, they’re meant to be. And lucky me, I think these two are in a real relationship, which is like a dream come true.  I love that lakorn world likes to play Cupid, shooting their arrows at our favorite pairings. Well, except for Jiranee, the pairing I wish Cupid would’ve paid a little more attention to, but I digress.

Minor Content Update

Hi guys!

I’ve been receiving quite a few new readers and lakorn viewers lately who could use some help navigating this wonderful world of lakorns we live in. This got me thinking that my blog could use some tweaking. I’ve changed the about page to “First Timers” which introduces newbies to this blog and this lakorn club. I’ve changed the name of “ratings” page to “recommendations” since ratings seem to stir some confusion. There is also a resource page where I hope to continue to update and include other lakorn bloggers, fan subbers and lakorn resources out there. A new request page has opened up as well, which will help me gauge fellow lakorn fans interests and what sorts of material/content they’d like to read about.

At the end of the day, my goal is to muse about lakorns and discuss them with you, and I want to encourage lots of interaction on this site. So, it is due time that I make it a little more user friendly. Are there anything you’d like to see on the resources or first timer’s page? Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thanks again for your continued support, fangirling isn’t so fun when going about it alone. So thanks!

One Word for Rang Tawan: Atichart

lovefia

Posted on June 15, 2016

tarntawan1

Wednesday-Thursday just got very interesting. From the minute the first episode of Rang Tawan aired to the very last second, Aum Atichart owns his character Khun Suriyen aka Nai Pu. His acting is always captivating, but when given a character as dark and mysterious as Khun Suriyen, Aum is the perfect choice to take this character to the next level. When he’s on screen, everyone else pales. Seriously, I can’t stop staring. Not only does he look SO good and SO handsome, he sucks me into his character, I no longer see Aum on screen, but Khun Suriyen. How could a fan ask for more? Gah.
