The Inspiration Behind Buppaesaniwas 2 – Love Destiny The Movie

lovefia

Posted on June 30, 2022

In a recent press conference for Love Destiny The Movie, out in theaters July 28th, the producers and director share their inspiration on how this movie came about. After Buppaesaniwas wrapped up beautifully in 2018, one of the producers for this film didn’t want it to end (same girl same) and it was such a hot topic that quite literally everyone around her couldn’t get enough of it. But ultimately the sentence that inspired the movie came from the author herself (Rompaeng), in that, P’Muen (ML) and Karakade (FL) are the destined soulmates and will meet and love each other in every lifetime. This premise has such potential retelling of another lifetime where they meet as different people and in different time periods, but…

Spring Check-In/Hu Ge Tour

lovefia

Posted on May 1, 2019

Hello Dear Readers! Spring is in full sprint. I hope everyone is doing well. I have been neglectful with my writing lately. In the last couple of months, with lakorn prospects looking bleak – since I was only watching Krong Kam (when usually I balance a few lakorns at a time) – I’ve relegated myself to Twitter because it matches the pace of my lifestyle (which is craziness and all over the place!). Twitter allows for quick thoughts and commentaries, and makes it easy to just post a screencap. While that is fun, it doesn’t allow me to edit or really think about the lakorn as a whole. Having said that, I probably won’t be doing the traditional full recaps on the blog, we…

Minor Content Update

lovefia

Posted on June 16, 2016

Hi guys! I’ve been receiving quite a few new readers and lakorn viewers lately who could use some help navigating this wonderful world of lakorns we live in. This got me thinking that my blog could use some tweaking. I’ve changed the about page to “First Timers” which introduces newbies to this blog and this lakorn club. I’ve changed the name of “ratings” page to “recommendations” since ratings seem to stir some confusion. There is also a resource page where I hope to continue to update and include other lakorn bloggers, fan subbers and lakorn resources out there. A new request page has opened up as well, which will help me gauge fellow lakorn fans interests and what sorts of material/content they’d like to read…

An Update!

lovefia

Posted on March 11, 2015

Well hello Readers! I’m still alive.. and still very much pregnant. But I am at the home stretch! The little one isn’t even here yet but I’ve been thoroughly busy preparing the nursery, attending child birthing classes and well, trying to ignore the typical aches and pains of pregnancy. Not to mention, maintaining a full time career. I can’t say that I’m one of those mommy-to-be’s who actually enjoy being pregnant, I honestly just want to get this over with and hold my baby already. And it will come soon enough! I apologize for my lack of lakorn updates, and thank you for the emails and checking in with me. I know Lom Sorn Rak has been on air and a few highly anticipated…

Lakorn Odds and Ends

lovefia

Posted on October 23, 2014

The holiday months are creeping right around the corner with the end of the year looming ahead. Not to mention, the year in review, which I have a feeling that my list is as uncomprehensive as it will be. After the Rising Sun series ended, and after discovering my awesomely life changing news, I’ve been away from lakorns. But mind you, that has only been a few weeks. Although, could you really blame me? The current lineup has little to be desired, at least for me:

The wonderful world of lakorn blogging

lovefia

Posted on September 1, 2013

First and foremost, happy September, dearest readers. It’s a mid Sunday afternoon; the day is warm and pleasant, 79 degrees Fahrenheit with a light breeze coming through my open window. The streets are unusually quiet though, I can hear a few cars passing by, smell the light salt water coming in from the Sound, and birds chirping from the trees. A large portion of Seattleites are camping, renting a cabin or having small adventures with their family and friends. The traditional Labor Day weekend enthrallments, if you will. It is days like these that I feel truly at peace and pensive. Which got me thinking about one of my favorite hobbies, that is blogging. Funny thing, I should be watching Nang Rai Sai Lub’s…

Next Recapping Project: Dao Reurng (Summary)

lovefia

Posted on January 7, 2013

Woot! In this lakorn remake, Dao Reurng, starring Por Thrisadee and Yaya Urassaya, we are going to leave the fancy pants in Bangkok and don our plaid shirts (with a gun holster) in the upcountry. From No Problem Production by Mam Thitima and director P’Num Krit, which brought us the lakorn that went straight to my heart, Phoo Yai Lee Gup Nang Ma, Dao Reurng will encompass the quirky, funny and adorable aspect of countryside comedy, but with a different flare. Things are much more abrasive, a tad more dangerous and all the more torturous for our pr’ek Por Thrisadee. He plays Jin, a newly enthusiastic, inexperienced Deputy (Bpalat) from Bangkok who gets stationed in the countryside. This particular village is a tough gig,…

Getting to know you

lovefia

Posted on April 26, 2012

April showers bring May flowers. It’s an endearing term we use for Spring, one of the more pleasant of the four-seasons in North America, depending on who you ask. I love this time of the year: beginning of second quarter (if you’re in any industry that measures your performance based on quotas), end of tax season, tulips and blossoms galore, not to mention the wake of sports again. What I love most about it though, is the fact that I will be here to enjoy it. As oppose to last year, where I hijacked life in the state to live abroad in SE Asia. You may have gleaned bits and pieces of my life through my lakorn posts but I’m still in the dark…

What’s up?

lovefia

Posted on February 20, 2012

It is another rough Monday. When I arrive home from a long, exhausting day at work, I get wistful about those leisure months abroad where all I did was travel, blog and watch lakorns. Good times. So have you seen the upcoming lakorns list? My reaction after sifting through them was ‘wowzers we got ourselves some exciting ones!’ You can see the full list on inwlakorn‘s site, but some of the top ones I’m looking forward to is Torrannee Nee Nee Krai Krong, Rak Ork Okard, Buang (more excited about Rome, not so much Rita), Rak Prakasit and finally, Khun Seuk (featuring Aum, my fave!) I absolutely adore this picture that inuu posted on her site, it just shows how fresh and beautiful this…
