EPISODE 4 SUMMARY BY UHRENAH LookJun: Why are you eating without waiting for me? Paul: You didn’t tell me to wait. LJ: Oh Pete, don’t tell me that you also forgot another rule that you made that when we wake up in the morning we would wait to eat breakfast together. LJ: Pete, have you stop taking the meds from the doctor? Paul: I’m still not better so I’m still taking them. LJ: OMGGGG I don’t want to believe that the medicine would make you this blurred and not be yourself like this. Lookjun frustrated by his cluelessness, takes a seat next to him. She stares at him in disbelief as he eats his sandwich…..wondering where hers was. LJ: Serve!!! Paul: Hrm?….Oh (hands her…

EPISODE 3 SUMMARY BY UHRENAH With Trouble brewing from the last episode, the Celeb magazine staffs were discussing how they were going to redo the photo shoot for their next issue since the old photos were lost. Lookjun then decided to take full responsibility including financially funding a redo of the shoot again with her own money. The only concern was that everyone they contacted to do the shoot was not available. One day during the meeting Lookjun suddenly has an idea of who her model will be. Poor Paul on the other hand is back at the co-star guy (Toey’s) condo again. I don’t know why Paul is coming to his condo so often? Maybe Paul thinks that Toey will be the key…

Upcoming Recapping Projects

Channel 3 is gearing up for excitement, I can hardly contain myself. Coming right around the corner (July 16th in fact) is the first installment of the Rising Sun Series, Roy Rak Hak Liam Tawan starring Mario and Taew. My greatest hope is that Roy Rak Hak Liam Tawan will not go down as the most overrated lakorn this year amidst all of the promotional efforts. From the large and famous cast, to the expensive staging, the channel and producers are determined to make this show authentic and bring the beloved book series to life. One can truly hope that it lives up to the efforts.

Guest Writer Uhrenah: Ruk Nee Je Jud Hai EP 2 Summary

EPISODE 2 SUMMARY BY UHRENAH Paul (pretending to be Pete) at the informal press conference at the hospital tells everyone that he did not try to commit suicide. Paul thought that he could make that simple statement and take off. The reporters pestered him for more details and convinced him to stay and take photos/answer more questions. It is hilarious watching Paul force a very fake uncomfortable smile to the cameras. His posture and everything about him is the complete opposite of how Pete would have behave. As the nanny (Ba Pa) was wheeling Pete to his scan, Pete comments and says, “I am crying because I am so touched and surprised that Paul would help me, I never thought he would.” Ba Pa…

Posted on July 1, 2014

Please give a warm welcome to my guest writer Uhrenah who has graciously provided with episode one summary of Ruk Nee Je Jud Hai. She hasn’t signed up to summarize the entire lakorn, but we shall take what we can get, no? Please leave her lots of love in the comment section! ~Fia — EPISODE 1 SUMMARY BY UHRENAH: Episode one introduces us to all the main characters and cast. It tells the story of twin brothers (played by Rome Patchatat) who were born and raised abroad in America. When one of the brothers (Pete) “comes out” that he is gay, their father cannot accept it and is furious and kicks him out of the house. Pete then moves to Thailand with his nanny…

What’s up Lovelies! I hope all is well in your world, whether you’re busy with work, school, life or even dramas. For the next couple of weeks, I will be unavailable due to travels and finalizing my sister’s wedding. I’m so very happy for her and can barely contain myself. Upon returning after fourth of July weekend, my focus will be on the Rising Sun Series, starting with Roy Rak Hak Liam Tawan with Mario and Taew. Since their collaboration in Arrogant Flame (Plerng Torranong) I’ve been quite enamored with this duo. Following that will be Lom Son Rak. Depending on how engaging the first episode will be – which, hello, how could it NOT be? – I may recap those series. This has…

In the ‘Best’ Way

lovefia

Posted on June 12, 2014

Is anyone still alive after watching “In a Good Way?” Some of you might have already patched up your cuts and bruises after watching this show, but I’m still reeling from the ending – or shall we say the open ending – to this Taiwanese drama. So don’t mind me as I pick up the wayward pieces of my shredded heart. Like a knife master, Show knows how to cut me deep and in many unexpected ways. Who knew that a lighthearted romp back in time to 1997 could pack such a punch? We’ve witnessed college students going through character and life changing experiences, all the while  allowing us to fall in love with the Prince Charming Liu Chuan and his relationship with Jia…

Tawan’s Sassy Rose – A Review

lovefia

Posted on June 4, 2014

My favorite time of the year is the brink of Summer, right when the dew of Spring dries up, making way for long and slow days. The days are a little more effortless; the mood is a little more uplifting. Thus, putting me in the mood for some light hearted and fun lakorn. What better way to enjoy the onset of Summer, than to live vicariously through the lives of Rose and Tawan at Tawan’s Farm? There is something about a city girl having to live her life in the countryside – farmland even – and giving up the simple measures of life’s conveniences, that makes the viewing experience quite empathetic. A romp in the pigsty is just what the doctor ordered, but don’t…

What Draws You to Lakorns?

lovefia

Posted on May 29, 2014

Why do you watch lakorns, or any dramas for that matter? Do you tune into lakorns for your favorite actors and actresses and see it to the end? Or do you watch lakorns for the storyline and characters? We all have different reasons as to why we commit ourselves to spending hours in front of our computers and Smart TV (technology is amazing!) and some of us just can’t help it because these shows are so addicting. And on top of that, lakorns are truly a breed of their own, there are certain plot devices unique only to Thai dramas. And sometimes, they raise my hackles. I personally watch lakorns to get lost in the story and characters. A couple of requirements that I…

The Era of Freedom – ‘In a Good Way’

lovefia

Posted on May 27, 2014

Ah, this Taiwanese drama makes my heart so happy, despite my panda eyes. As you know, I started this show just a couple of days ago, and thanks to the Memorial Holiday weekend (long weekend), I was able to spend some time with this memorable series. I love the slice of life depiction of young adults in this era, the era of freedom, which isn’t too far from the actual events surrounding Taiwan in 1995. Without getting into specific historical events, this show doles out nuggets of wisdom about youth and freedom, friendship and love. Oh especially love. I take my word back regarding Jia En crushing on Ren Wei in the beginning. He was definitely a best friend and someone she shadows growing up. She gets…
