Roy Rak Hak Liam Tawan: Episode 5

lovefia

Posted on July 30, 2014

Oh, be still my heart. This episode really makes my day. We are seemingly led down a path thinking that it will go one way, but un-expectantly encounter another. Perhaps it is bittersweet for all parties, gaining a measure of happiness, but also going against a measure of time. Should we dive headfirst knowing that our hearts will break, or should we embrace whatever remaining time we have left? All’s I have to say is that with our recent turning of events, the romance is upped and with that, so will the angst. But I’m going to enjoy the well-earned peace, even if angst is only an arm length away!

Roy Rak Hak Liam Tawan: Episode 4

Posted on July 24, 2014

Our hero tries to prolong the time he has with the woman that he loves, but he soon learns that time isn’t really on his side, especially when you have an enemy pulling at all corners, and your allies hanging by a thread. He’s caught between a rock and a hard place. Although the beginning of this episode left us fearing that we’re spinning our wheels and jeopardizing the plot – with our hero doing the same thing over and over again, despite all of the wonderful hugs– but then, he makes a choice, the baddies strike, the side kick takes over, and we are rolling once again.

Roy Rak Hak Liam Tawan: Episode 3

lovefia

Posted on July 23, 2014

This is a solid episode setting up our hero into his new title that comes with a whole slew of responsibilities. We are given motives and background behind the past, as well as given more reasons to fall in love with our Takeshi – not to mention his side kick and “brains” of the operations, Ryu. How does one move on from a tragedy? Thankfully our hero gathers the strength that comes from the twinkling light of the stars. He remains steadfast in his belief and desires, but is forever stronger and tougher after the experience. Knowing full well that responsibility comes with sacrifice, his heart tests that boundary every day, which in turn forces us to hold our breaths, the kind that we didn’t…

Quick note by Uhrenah ~ due to late night hours cranking out this recap, this article has not been edited. Sincerest apologies as I am tired and sleepy! Hope everyone enjoys this! EPISODE 6 SUMMARY Celeb Magazine staff are scrambling trying to get everything in order for the photo session as Lookjun is trying to convince Paul to take off his clothes for the shoot. Lookjun tells him the theme of the this issue is about fighting. Fighting through life, fighting with sickness, fighting with death, and love that needs to be fought for- this issue will be all about Muay Thai (Thai kickboxing). Meanwhile Line staff and Nut are also taking photos for their issue as well with the stolen model from Celeb.…

First Look at ‘Ka Badin’

lovefia

Posted on July 22, 2014

Yes please. Finally. It’s been SO long since we got to see the adorable James Ma. If you are a fan you would not easily forget his portrayal of Khun Chai Ronnapee, nor forget his penchant to march into dangerous waters and singlehandedly kick some ass.  No one does action scenes like James Ma, nor look as good while doing it. Like a true action hero, he ignores the camera angles and just gets things done. Perhaps we credit the director. Perhaps it’s James Ma. I for one cannot conjure another name.

EPISODE 5 SUMMARY BY UHRENAH Lookjun is at the GRGR set watching the actors Paul, Toey, and everyone shoot their scenes. She finally gets to see how horrible Paul’s acting is. She comments to the director about how bad Paul’s acting was. The director asked her as his close friend, what has happened to his acting lately? She tells him that Paul has been on medication and that it is probably affecting his acting ability. After having to CUT and stop so often, the director mumbles that this medicine Paul is on must be real strong. Next Jum appears to play her part and everyone is stunned by her beauty. The Star Beside the Moon – Ep 2-3 Thoughts

lovefia

Posted on July 20, 2014

If there were such a thing as a star beside the moon, then I would imagine that it would look something like the picture above: mysterious, contemplative, brooding. However, the tone of this lakorn, Dao Kiang Duen (which precisely means the star beside the moon) is the exact opposite: funny, entertaining, witty.

Dao Kiang Duen – Episode 1 Impression

lovefia

Posted on July 18, 2014

Broadcast Thai Production just stepped it up a notch with their latest weekend installment, Dao Kiang Duen, starring Ken Pupoom and Namtarn. Airing on Channel 3, following the first story about Prakai Dao and Khun Chai Jantarapanu in Dao Kiaw Duen, this sequel fast forwards 20+ years to the current setting of this story about their son, Momluang Jantarakarn. This lakorn not only reminds me of how much I enjoyed the first installment, but actually manages to impress me with its tone, quality and above all, loveable characters. Within five minutes of the show, I am already laughing and having a ball. If they keep up the funny as well as consistent characters, I may come to love this lakorn even more than its…

Roy Rak Hak Liam Tawan: Episode 2

lovefia

Posted on July 17, 2014

It’s a multitude of emotions in this episode that propels our story forward. Our hero learns to accept what he finds is the biggest sacrifice he has to make, but then realizing that an even bigger hurtle will come his way. What happens when love isn’t the only concern that will plague our hero? What happens when everything changes from here on out? Alls’ I have to say is strap that seatbelt on tight, because we are about to be shaken. Takeshi! Mario! Ryu! Nadech! Oh, the cuteness overload and then the squeeze in my heart when they’re dealt with the toughest blow.

Roy Rak Hak Liam Tawan: Episode 1

lovefia

Posted on July 16, 2014

I think I might already be in love. For being a premier episode, the premise and characters are well established, allowing us to see the story world, the problems that will unfold, as well as how quickly we will get there. That’s what I find awesome about this lakorn, it’s fast paced and we become familiar with the characters by the first episode. Which is a good thing because it’s been a long wait for this drama to finally air, no matter how patient we are forced to be, we just want to get there. Know what I mean? And now that we’re there, I’m a kid in a candy store. Woooo! I apologize in advance if I’ve butchered the spellings of Japanese names.…
