That’s Taya Rogers. Who do you follow on social media these days? We have twitter, instagram, facebook.. it’s all so very much to keep tabs on. Personally, I don’t care much about celebrities outside of their lakorn world – because I watch lakorns to fall in love with the story and characters – and usually turn the other cheek when it comes to celebrity scandals. But much of celebrity gossip is a guilty pleasure for many, and I can’t hate on that. The uber cuteness is back! Today’s episode is jammed pack with revelations, truths and even heart felt tenderness (to make up for yesterday’s slow churn?) And to top the goodness off, characters are coming clean, getting smarter, and plotting their next moves like a good chess match. It’s a squeal-fest kind of episode, which is really the best kind, no? Takeshi (Mario) and Ryu (Nadech) are quite the vision in this episode, so you might need to pick up your jaw that dropped to the ground, or slap yourself a couple of times. You’ve been warned!

Shouldn’t Wednesdays make it easier to get over the hump of the week? It doesn’t help matters that the events in this episode happens very slowwwly. The buildup of each scene marks for a revelation on both Seiko and Aiko’s character front. One realizes that she could finally hold on to her love, while the other realizes that she’s the reason for the loss of her love. Add filler scenes about Haro who quietly accepts his place- but secretly condoning his heart to further aggravation- and we have one helluva frustrating watch (or sleepy watch) depending on your mood. Not to mention, we get less of Takeshi-Ryu scenes. And for that, pouty face!

Chase You to the Heavens – Episode 1

I mean, come on, even the title speaks to love in the epic proportion. Chase You to the Heavens? This is a romance novel coming to life. How could I not tune in? Channel 7 is starting the week strong with Lah Rak Sud Kob Fah, starring Mr. Tall Dark and Handsome Weir Sukullawat and Min Pechaya, reuniting after a previously successful lakorn together, Pin Anong. One that I did not partake, insert any valid excuse. It’s been awhile since Channel 7 has lured me in – and I wanted to hold out until Prao with Aump Patcharapa (for no reason other than I adore her) – but the premise of this story is intriguing, and the set up of the story is delicious…

I can accept a lot of imperfections in a lakorn – because let’s be honest – many lakorns seldom are perfect. So I let a lot of things slide. Unfortunately, it becomes quite a shame when a show with great potential seemingly unravels at the seam. From episode 6 onwards (we are at episode 9 now), Dao Kiang Duen has really lost its steam. For a show that could use tropes to its benefit, neighbors and paid assistant for example, they could essentially play this out until the cows come home. But instead, they opted for misunderstandings that tore a good team apart. When I say team, I’m referring to the characters that really made the show appealing to me: Khun Jan- Wiwit, Khun Jan…

Another episode filled with uber adorable-ness. Is that even a word? I don’t care. I’m in love with the show. The relationship and story front both move to the right direction. The girls come to an understanding, while some misunderstandings stay hidden. Seiko warns Takeshi from mentioning morbid things, and we see that perhaps he ought to listen to her. But he’ll take punishments in the form of kisses.. yes, hugs and kisses please.
