The beginning of madness?

lovefia

Posted on February 20, 2014

We all have our fair share of baggage when going into a relationship, some more than others. Especially Karat (Ploy Chermarn) who had been widowed twice with no good for nothing husbands who only saw her for her money. She didn’t quite lose hope for love though, as she married her third husband, thanks to her best friend, Sai Nampeung (Jui Warrattaya) who introduced them. Aw. But Karat’s cycle of bad news bear didn’t end there. Her third husband turned out to be a lying, cheating scumbag too, and it propelled Karat to believe that maybe all men are like that. From the opening scene, we know that Karat will give as good as she gets. Nobody messes with her. She has a few bitch…

The Boy is Mine – Samee Tee Tra

lovefia

Posted on February 13, 2014

Pope Thanawat plays the boy that is wedged between Ploy Chermarn and Jui Jiranan in this epic romantic battle in Samee Tee Tra. The lakorn is a battle of the wills, with wit matching wit and seeing who comes out on top. In the original version, with the director Anne Thonprasom playing the main character, she had always stood out on top. No question about it. But what’s exciting about this newest rendition is that we have two leading ladies who are excellent actresses in their own right duking it out in this lakorn. Will Ploy outperform Jui who recently found a new home in Channel 3, or will Jui put on a performance of her life and steal the hearts of channel 3…

October Sonata (Movie) – A Reflection

lovefia

Posted on April 30, 2013

Much in life is timing. October Sonata – (Rak Tee Ror Koy) Love That Waits – did not resonate well in the box office in 2009 – it flopped actually, which is truly unfortunate because it possesses such a gripping script, cinematography and actors. But I believe though, that most of what makes a good movie is that we are watching it at the right moment for us. For whatever reason it did not bode well with the Thai public at the time, but for me, it hits me in all the right places. At the end of the film, I actually went to Mr. A and gave him a big hug. It makes you appreciate that nothing is better than the present, with…

Who is Pope Thanawat Wattanaputi?

lovefia

Posted on April 23, 2013

An actor. Artist. Dutiful son. Humble. Down to earth. A sweetheart to many endearing fans who have followed his work since his debut. These are a few words to describe this underrated actor. But the road to fame for Pope was neither an easy nor smooth ride. Contrary to popular belief, to be where he is at today required heartbreak, tears, discouragement and setbacks (that are anything but his fault.) But ultimately, it is his perseverance and humble heart that pushes him to continue the pursuit of his dreams and become the most heartfelt and versatile actor in this business. Pope was born on December 27, 1982; to a family with two children, he has one older sister. Pope received an undergraduate degree in…

Khun Chai Pawornruj – A Review

lovefia

Posted on April 21, 2013

It’s so easy to fall in love with Khun Chai Pawornruj, the second part of the Five Gentlemen Series, brought to us by Good Feeling. It is like watching a hero from a historical romance novel coming to life. There are so many good elements in this lakorn, and I’m enjoying it so thoroughly, that I find myself having a hard time explaining why- probably because I’m too busy swooning. But we can start with the first and easiest attraction: Pope Thanawat. He is the perfect choice for Khun Chai Ruj. There is so much depth and angst to his character that it grabs you by the heart, and Pope plays it to a tee. Among the five brothers, he is the only Khun…

Moments like these.. Khun Nu and Pat in “Buang”

lovefia

Posted on May 30, 2012

Sometimes it doesn’t require one to watch an entire drama before enjoying aspects of it. I’m not following Buang, and I’m not sure if you are, but I was perusing Youtube and noticed some Khun Nu and Pat cuts in Buang and couldn’t resist pressing play. Heck, since I don’t have to spend hours watching Buang, why not watch clips of the secondary characters? They seem to be much more interesting anyway. You may be familiar with Pope Thanawat from Tawan Duerd where he stole the hearts of many female fans as the rough around the edges but sweet Nai Singh, or from Game Rai Game Rak as Dr. Wattana, the relentlessly hopeless romantic. In Buang however, he plays the “playboy” and cunning character,…

Tawan Duead (The Boiling Sun)- Review

lovefia

Posted on January 6, 2012

Set in an unruly town known as Bhu Prakal (Death’s Mountain), the townsfolk regressed to the dark primitive ages after World War II, where survival of the fittest-in the forms of money, power and guns- takes precedence over friendship, law and common values. The story began in the mountains of Fahrung Farm where a deep friendship went bad: Shakta and Bhupha. Thirsting for the ownership of Fahrung Farm, where hidden gems are abundant, Shakta contrived a plan to murder his partner Bhupha and seize the land. He hired Charan (Johnny Anfone) to fake the raid, but his plan turned extreme as Charan and his vicious outlaws massacred the entire farm, including Bhupha’s family. BhuTawan (Mahk Prin) the son of Bhupha, escaped the deadly massacre…

P’Mor (Dr) in GRGR

lovefia

Posted on October 29, 2011

Pope has got to be the cutest looking doctor in the lakorn world, haah. He shows up in episode 2 of GRGR as the love interest of Chompoo Pae (Nang Fah/Fahlada’s sister.) He’s supportive, capable, patient and oh so handsome. I haven’t really noticed him in other lakorns but gee whiz he is a cutie here. I’ve enjoyed episode 2 but just wanted to share our new resident Dr.Handsome! Nang Fah and Saichon are hilarious and cute as ever- this episode doesn’t disappoint, it had me rolling so many times. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! Well, let’s enjoy it until the tone turns all serious anyway 🙂
