“If he doesn’t love you, don’t care about it. Mom always says that if someone makes us cry that means that person doesn’t love us. It means he dares to hurt us so we shouldn’t love him. That’s it,” advised Pansorn, Nammon’s younger brother as he consoled his sister with a handkerchief and popsicle. Nammon had been crying and recalling her moments with Paat, when Pansorn appeared, offering a gesture so much sweeter than the popsicle itself. Nammon glances at her picture with Paat on her phone and contemplates deleting it. If only forgetting someone or not caring about someone was easy to do. I want to give Nammon a hug. What led up to this scene was another sad matter altogether, really, just…

GRGR Overview of Ep8-9 Fate plays funny things to our hero and heroine in Evil Game, Love Game episode 8 and 9. After being apart for 1,000 days (Saichon cared to count) Mr. Charles, President of Seven Seas airline moves into the same neighborhood as Fahlada. I don’t think it was meant to be funny, but I found the coincidence of Fahlada’s maid nicknaming Charles “heaven” is hysterical. We have Charles as “heaven” and Fahlada as “angel,” no wonder they are perfect for each other. Match made in heaven indeed. One word to describe Charles is delicious. He exudes confidence, sophistication and so well put together. I don’t blame Chompoopae for crushing on him, especially since he is such a natural flirt. “Anyone who…

So it’s Friday night. There’s life, then there’s lakorn. Today I find myself choosing the latter. Game Rai Game Rak Ep7 brings Nang Fah and Saichon face to face again, although this time, they are Fahlada and Charles. Three years has changed much for them. After saving Michael’s life, who happens to be a big time airline owner, Saichon is given the opportunity to move to America- to better himself, toughen himself and to leave painful memories behind. Saichon knew he needed to leave everything that was familiar to the unfamiliar, to find his wife. Adopted and bred for sophistication, Saichon, now Charles, returns to Thailand. Fahlada returns to Thailand as well- after studying abroad in America- she is still carefree and doesn’t take anything…

Which could be said for my favorite duo in Miracle of Love. I felt deprived in episode 4 because Paat and Nammon were not together, however, their scenes in episode 5 made up nicely. Thus far Nammon has finally admitted to her best friend that she likes Paat. An obvious (at least to us) acknowledgement, but a stride to the right direction. She can’t help but smile widely when she’s around him, act completely unlike herself and essentially, worship him. Which I don’t blame her. But she’s going to learn a few lessons of her own in this drama when it comes to poignant, one-sided love. As she told her best friend when asked if P’Paat returned her sentiments, Nammon says, “As long as…

I would recommend that you watch the whole episode because it is just darling. Thut is looking more attractive as a character and he and Kim are not too shabby together. However, for those (like me) who are crazy about Paat and Nammon, ep5 continues to stir the pot! This time around it took forever creating this video, I’m using a new software… which entails more time to understand it and then to sub it. Bear with me.

Rak Pathiharn (Miracle of Love) Ep4 Paat asks Nichamon this question upon catching her on her lies, and voicing the concern everyone must be curious about. From episode 1, this notorious Pranom has yet to surface and like Paat says, Nichamon better be careful because the real Pranom may decide that she wants her job back. Paat found Nichamon, whom he surmised as the person he met at the airport because of his photographic memory, and whisked her to his restaurant to quiz her on who she really is. As they sit on the outdoor patio, Nichamon divulged as much as she was willing to as no one else has caught her red handed as Paat did: she was born in Thailand, moved abroad…

I’m not the most superstitious person you’ll ever meet, but growing up in a Buddhist family and culture, superstition is something I don’t underestimate or dally with. For instance when a monk told me not to go near the beach or water in 2007, I steered clear-I prefer not to tempt fate by doing things to spite it. Or to eat food prepared for the monks prior to them having eaten it. However when it comes to taboo things like Friday the 13th or black cats crossing my path, I take it in stride. So it doesn’t surprise me when superstitions or old wives tales appear more often than not in lakorns, as lakorns depict the culture and beliefs of the production team. In…
