Morassoom Sawat – A Tale of The Little Deer and Her Hunter

lovefia

Posted on July 11, 2016

Once upon a time, in a monsoon-laden land, there lived a doe-eyed little deer quite happy to stay in her calm and placid world. To the animals in this kingdom, the little deer represents all that is good in the world: righteous, dignified, sympathetic. But out of nowhere, the temperature drop and the wind increase: the monsoon storm is brewing. The little deer is forced into the woods where she runs headlong into a scary tiger. What becomes of the little deer? Can she befriend and tame the tiger or get eaten alive in the natural order of Hunter-Prey world? Can the little deer keep the boat afloat in the midst of the storm, or get shattered into smithereens in the wake of it?…

Mew Nitha On the Big Screen “Fan Day, Fan Gan Kae Wan Diow”

lovefia

Posted on July 8, 2016

I miss our little mouse, Mew Nitha, and was wondering what she has been up to. This September we’ll get to see her pretty face on the silver screen, and in a romantic comedy to boot. She will be starring alongside Ter Chantawit in “Fan Day.. Fan Gan Kae Wan Diow” (Partner Day.. Partner for a Day) by GDH 559 Production. This would be the production and Mew’s first time on the big screen, which takes place in Hokkaido.

Rang Tawan – Episode 7

lovefia

Posted on July 7, 2016

My heart hurts for Suriyen and Tarntawan. The more I get to know these two, the more I find their painful past touching. Tarntawan realizes that in order to gain trust, you have to give trust. By sharing her vulnerable, painful past- something that she doesn’t normally share with anyone else – it is therapeutic and encourages an exchange of storytelling. And the scars that we carry with us aren’t always visible, but it’s there, forever embedded in our minds. I am a fan of the quieter, solemn moments in this show. But the cute and funny that follows towards the latter half of this show, especially coming from Suriyen, makes me feel like everything will be all right. As long as there’s Nong…

Kong Grapan Naree – First Look

lovefia

Posted on July 5, 2016

I’m really excited that all of the new lakorns that are cropping up are actually really engaging. It’s a good thing and a bad thing. How could it ever be bad, you ask? It makes me want to recap them, that’s why. Right now time is an issue because I’m already picking up two shows, but if this show continues to stay engaging, I will occasionally write about them when time permits. If you’re into superhero storyline (which is few and far in between for lakorns) this one is for you. The cast, the action sequence and origin story is great so far. I don’t doubt that Broadcast Thai will put on a good show, and I’ll be watching this during its Mon-Tues timeslot.

Ruk Fun Thalop – Episode 2

lovefia

Posted on July 5, 2016

I like the sitcom feel about this show, it’s zippy and fun, and things don’t get withheld for too long. When the truth comes out in the open, things are handled surprisingly lighter than one of them expected. Because even though it’s a big deal for you, it’s mediocre to someone else. When it comes to opening up and connecting with someone else, it all depends on where you are in life and whether timing is on your side. Truer words. Timing is EVERYTHING, in this lifetime or previous.

Between Love and Duty – Sai Lap Rak Puan

lovefia

Posted on July 1, 2016

Following Tayard Arsoon, Andrew and Ploy’s lakorn – Sai Lap Rak Puan – will give our weekend a nice laugh. This is an action, romance, comedy lakorn that centers around Din (Andrew’s character) who’s a top secret government spy agent. It’s so secretive that he can’t even tell his significant other, Ran (Ploy’s character), what he does for a living. Instead everyone is led to believe that he’s a sales agent, which is not up to par with Ran’s hi-so status (at least per her mother anyway). Looks like not only will Din battle with his real job while trying to maintain his love life, but he has rich in laws to contend with. Even the teaser says you can’t start a marriage with…

Ken P and Wawwa In Supernatural Lakorn “Kong Gra Pan Naree”

lovefia

Posted on June 30, 2016

If you’re a fan of supernatural lakorns, Kong Gra Pan Naree (Invulnerable Woman), might be a good choice for you. This lakorn is slated to air on July 5, 2016 after Nang Tard, in the Monday-Tuesday timeslot. Broadcast Thai Production is spearheading this show, with Ken Pupoom and Wawwa as the leads. The story sounds very Thai superhero to me, and Wawwa plays this superhero called Kong Gra Pan Naree. Every 1000 years a power inhibits earth to conquer evil and it takes the form of Kong Gra Pan Naree. The person who possess this supernatural power can do some damage, if you can imagine, thus it’s wanted by everyone. Wawwa’s character’s name is Worramai aka Aeport who has to flee constantly to evade people wanting…

Oh, The Cute in Rang Tawan

lovefia

Posted on June 30, 2016

Buahaha. Show brought on the CUTE today in episode 5. I might have busted a gut laughing, which is a nice reprieve from the crazy that was yesterday’s. Most importantly, we get moments between uncle and nephew, and the glue that ties them together: Tarntawan. My fondness for her is growing, especially when she gets cheeky. Cheeky heroine? Yes please.

Do Your Worse – Rang Tawan Episode 4

lovefia

Posted on June 29, 2016

You’re all probably wondering what the hell went on in that late night, terrorizing moment on the beach. This episode goes dark and dirty, and just when we think our beast might be softening up a bit. I like this push and pull, watching the beast trying to understand the extent of his own aggression and why it is that people get pushed further and further away from him. It’s natural to regress a few steps. Taming of the beast isn’t the easiest task to take on, especially when SHE didn’t even sign up for it. I’m not even sure if our hero understands the deepest and darkest cavernous side of his own self.
