I was driving into my neighborhood last evening and the trees are already starting to change their colors. The air is cool as the temperature has dropped to the upper fifties. Summer wasn’t quite long enough. I feel nostalgic. But the bustling fall and the busy fourth quarter will be here whether I am ready or not. What will you long about summer and what makes you excited for fall?
It’s also Labor Day long weekend, so there is that to be excited for. Happy Labor Day, ‘Merica. It’s been awhile since we had a three day weekend, what have you got planned fellow Americans? My weekend is filled with sporting events and maybe we’ll check out the state fair as well. Tis the last few days of summer, let’s make it count. As I am typing this.. it’s raining outside. As for my international readers, I hope this weekend will be filled with relaxation and fun.

Happy labor day weekend. Hmm. Long and exciting weekend. Lots of BBQ with friends and families. Maybe I’ll attend the state fair and try their new food, everything on a stick lol.. I love fair food it’s my cheat day ,all day. Also I got weir sukkulawat concert to attend on sunday . I’m so excited I’ve wait all summer for it. It’s like a dream come true . I finally get to hug weir lol..
Omg. You will have to come back and tell us ALL about it! I want pictures too! Keke. Sounds like so much fun 🙂 I love fair food too, anything deep fried is delicious. lol.
yes , pics please , I didn’t even know about his concern till too late , have fun for all of us ok
Those tickets for his fan-meeting sold out too fast for me to participate, unfortunately. Plus, my employment requires a lot of weekends and holidays. [sigh]. I saw pics of him signing t-shirts at the Mall of America in Minnesota yesterday. [cries] I wanna T-shirt!
He was in MN?! Whoa! I didn’t even know they do meet and greets to that part of the U.S. They’re usually only in California ;(
Same here, Mao – state fair for breakfast and family stuff after that. But no trip to see Weir in Bloomington – I couldn’t convince my husband.
Good holiday rest to you all!
Bummer. I don’t recall a famous celebrity ever visiting Seattle for a meet and greet yet. I will say Bie performed in a Broadway show in Seattle but I failed to go. Still sad about that one.
Sadly , in our job there is no such thing as holiday , there are work day and there are day off , we only got extra pay on holiday , have to work on Sunday and Monday both , a lot of thing need to take care of before business trip with my colleagues ( those are the only 2 things that I like about my job , they give me extremely flexible schedule and I get to travel at least a couple of time a year ) yesterday was watching Dung Duang Haruetai and my boss stop by to talk , thinking in my head “why are you cramping my style like this ? why are we talking about work at work now ? ok , don’t say anything , just smile and nod then he’ll leave” but then he start asking me why am I eating lunch at my table for the last couple of day , am I crunch for time on the project that I work on that I have to work through lunch , of course I can not tell him that I’m used to watching lakorn on my computer and don’t want to downgrade to the small screen on my phone at lunch time , not to mention wasting time to go down for lunch like that , so have to smile and say no , I’m good , everything almost finish . That seem to be the opening he was waiting for so he try to talk me into taking care of another thing ( should have know the moment he start to be nice and stuff , the freaking sneaky man ) so time to drop the pretend-to-be-nice mask and put on the you-got-have-to-be-kidding-me hat :
me : boss , I’m still working on this here , how can I take on another thing ?
him : then multitask , isn’t that what you said you can do on your job interview ?
me : I didn’t say that and how do you remember what I said when it was 6 years ago ?
him : I didn’t , I just assume that what everybody would have say on their job interview
me : well , you assume wrong , I didn’t even study for this field , didn’t even know what the company was or what they actually do
him : then how did you get the job ?
me : I wear a 5 inches heels , that must have help , it got me my driver license too and beside how can I take on another one when I always dedicate my 250% on all my work to get the best result possible ( saying this while pretend that the sudden coughing I heard from him is not him laughing at me but he just suddenly come down with a severe soar throat , Ricola anyone ? )
I get a kick out of reading your work and boss saga. We can totally twist this and make it a romance saga where the pr’ek is the boss (go ahead and pick your hero) and the n’ek (you) is the employee (assistant.. head of your department, fill in the blank). Who wants to start a fanfic where someone begins with a paragraph and another person keeps adding to it, and so on and so forth. Ha.
On a different note, I’m sorry to hear that you have to work this weekend! I hope DDH will keep you entertained (I love Nat M.’s version)!
Yes, this would make a great script! I don’t have a pushy or arrogant boss, but I work in the public safety sector. And, thanks to remnants of Hurricane Hermine, leave was cancelled anyway. But I have to admit to sneaking a few drama episodes on my tablet…
Happy Labor Day Weekend! I’d totally forgotten until I was buying some things in the grocer, said I was grilling and someone assumed it was for the holiday. I grill all the time (year round). There are no specific reasons. So I was quite taken aback. Lol. Then I started getting tons of holiday sale emails.
So glad I’d planned to stay in this weekend! Plus it’s raining here too.
Hope you and yours stay dry!
Wish I was a better grill master! I do better in the kitchen cooking not too fancy food. Enjoy the relaxing weekend 🙂
I didn’t get VIP tickets for WEIR!!!!!! I’m so disappointed I read the event date wrong! Somehow I read it to be in the late fall. Must’ve been half asleep or my phone screen was too small on low light. lol Ugh…bummed. My hubby and I already planned a small drive out of town to do some cave dwelling with our toddler. There’s this cave with a 60ft waterfall inside that I’ve been wanting to check out. Heard great reviews about it so we have to see it before fall comes. Other than that, I’m just excited for the 3 day weekend to get out of town and be on the road rather than being in shackles at work (that’s how I feel like when it comes to “work”). Have a great weekend, everyone!
So did you get regular tickets? Means you’re still going right?
That cave sounds fun, though my little guy would be too crazy to control lol. I caved and bought the backpack leash thingy. Have fun!!
No, unfortunately I didn’t go. My friends’ pictures sure made me jealous though but it was good to see him (in pictures) in the US. And talk about our cave experience, my toddler was sure active. He wanted to touch everything and anything he can reach. He was scared of the dark and kept pointing and yelling he wanted to go up but we assured him he was fine and we’re playing a quiet “shhh” game as our guide took our group around. We made sure we were the last in our group so we didn’t interrupt others. A little into the beginning on the tour, the little guy decided he was tired since it was dark so he fell asleep while I carried him in a baby carrier – Thank goodness! I can’t speak for others but we won’t be going on guided tours again until he’s old enough to understand. lol It was tough and although he missed out on the tour, we were glad he was asleep – it was free for him anyway.
It’s never a vacation with a toddler, and a busy one to boot. I’m always stressed out when we go anywhere! Mine is an escape artist. Glad to hear you were able to enjoy it somewhat 🙂
That’s what the baby daddy is for. To chase them while you sip on a cold drink. 🙂
I am so ready for Fall! Changing leaves, Pumpkin Spiced lattes from Starbucks, knee-high boots, etc. But, it’s California so no sign of that anytime soon, haha. Talk about Weir though, he’s in Sacramento today! I live in Sacramento, let’s hope I accidentally bump into him today! 😀
Ah, you’ll have to go stalk him for us lol. J/k. Hopefully you’ll ‘accidentally’ bump into him!
I feel like Seattle had a very long spring and maybe two weeks of summer. So now it’s fall all over again 🙁
