In the mood for lakorns – Channel 3 upcoming shows

lovefia

Posted on June 15, 2022

Channel 3 has released their upcoming lakorn list for the latter half of the year, and there is something for everyone. Which ones are you looking forward to the most? We have some great pairings coming up, and that is probably the main reason why I would tune in – chemistry is almost everything! Granted, story is important too, so I plan to write first impressions for the show that catches my interest.

NDFD Episode 6: The Kiss by Greta

lovefia

Posted on April 18, 2019

Hello folks! First of all, belated Happy Songkran to everyone. I was supposed to churn this out on Songkran because this episode is about another Thai Festival, i.e the Loy Krathong, but … well… *shameless plugging part 2* Guys! Don’t forget to watch Krong Karm at CH3Thailand Official’s YouTube Channel! As for the coffee talk for that, you’ll have to wait for a while. *sweatdrop* But for now, here’s the coffee talk for Nueng Dao Fah Diew (One Land One Sky) Episode 6.

Perd Gong Wic 3: Channel 3 Lakorn Showcase

lovefia

Posted on February 13, 2019

One of my favorite things about Perd Gong Wic 3’s lakorn showcase (which has exponentially improved over the years) is the escalator ride down to the theater. It is Channel 3’s form of the red carpet walk. What better way to get people excited then to showcase the pairings arm in arm, gliding down the escalator? No better way, I’ll say. These are my favorite looks and it gets me even more excited for the lakorns that will air soon! Which show/pairings are you looking forward to the most?

The Beginning

Posted on September 30, 2018

To My Dearest Readers, I hope this post finds you well. Some of you may not know that I started this blog in 2010 because I was living abroad in Jakarta, Indonesia at the time, and blogging was a cure for loneliness. I was childless, Mr. A was working a lot and on call, so the days, the hours, and the lakorn world was my oyster. It hadn’t always been a lakorn blog. I wrote about whatever came to mind at the time, but because Jakarta had channel 3 on TV, I always tuned into whatever was airing during primetime, then wrote about it an hour later. My blog morphed into a lakorn blog naturally due to your requests, our interactions on each post,…

Can one get any better than Nadech doing J Jetrin’s cover?

lovefia

Posted on July 8, 2018

I think not. We all know Nadech Kugimiya is pretty darn great, but in the latest appearance in Mai’s 30th anniversary celebration concert, he is damn near perfection. I say this not only because he can act and sing and dance, but the way that he does all of those things conjure up so much nostalgia of the 90’s that it took me back to the teenage youth of my era.

Phor Daed Time Travels – Commercial Recap

lovefia

Posted on April 16, 2018

Thailand is still feeling the effects of Buppae Sanniwas fever, so several commercials featuring the cast continue to materialize. Case in point, the latest commercial for TrueTaoGae (TruePointandPay) 4.0 app tailored for shop vendors, featuring Pope Thanawat. I’m covering the recap for this commercial because it just so happens to tease us with the premise of Phor Daed time traveling to the present. Dreams do come true, if only for five minutes.

[Open Thread] #27

How are you, dear readers? It’s been awhile since we had an open thread to discuss our well beings outside of this wonderful world of lakorns. In the past week me, along with residents of Washington, are suffering from smoke emanating from the wildfires of British Columbia. It happens to be one of our hottest summers (with long days of sunshine) since the 50’s, and yet, we can’t even see our blue skies. Last weekend was my last week of maternity leave and it seems like God didn’t even want me to enjoy my remaining days off. So I am back to work, commuting along thick grayness, where there used to be a few mountains or skyscrapers to enjoy. My kiddos are doing great,…

Happy weekend, guys! Countdown three more days until I get to immerse in a lakorn once again. It’s been awhile, and we are so overdue for a good one. No pressure, Kluen Cheewit. I’m pretty sure I’ll be watching this show with one hand over my eyes. How is everyone doing? Any plans for this weekend? Anyone still watching lakorns? 🙂 I’m also excited for the new crops that are coming to us very soon. I need some great shows to turn to after today. Or maybe I just need a drink. My toddler is going through a sleep regression this week. That means that he used to be a great sleeper but is currently waking up screaming… multiple times a night. He has…

Cheers to 2016 Lakorns

lovefia

Posted on December 19, 2016

As a long time lakorn viewer, I like to go into every new year with optimism. 2016 felt especially promising based on the teasers and offerings from lakorn makers, but unfortunately, as we get ready to close out the year, I am realizing how many misses we’ve had. There is also the month long (for other shows several months long) mandatory break from lakorns due to the King’s passing. Yet after it is all said and done, this years’ lakorns brought out only a few winners, several disappointments, and some waylaid lakorns that are preempted until the following year. Needless to say, I am left wanting so much more from 2016 that will have to be appeased next year.

A Little About Me & An Announcement

lovefia

Posted on December 12, 2016

To My Dearest Lovely Readers: As some of you know, and if you follow me on Twitter, I am currently expecting my second boy. This one is due around the same time as the first one, in late April, so having two under two will be an adventure, to be sure. But it’s an adventure that I am thrilled to be on, so bring it on busy boys. I don’t think it is in my DNA to make non-busy boys, much to my chagrin. The other day we sat across from a toddler of the same age as my Cam, but he was so so good, in that he sat in his chair without a fuss, just observing everything. While my wild child walks…
