Mattana, who has fallen in love with her leading hero, and thinks that all is well, gets the rug pulled from under her in this episode. As we all are aware, KhetTawan certainly has an ominous, biting temper when he is mad at you. I wouldn’t want to be in Mattana’s shoes!

The opening scene starts with KhetTawan who is about to look at the photos when he notices how disheveled her room is. He starts to put things away and cleanup for her. She apologizes from the bathroom; she didn’t expect to host any guests.

He laughs, “Whoever becomes your boyfriend will have to make some dough in order to hire a maid to look after you.” Hehe.

Mattana is in the bathroom and wishes she could disappear. How embarrassing.

But their friendly banter ends when KhetTawan takes out the photos from the envelope.

She finally readies herself for the departure to BKK when he approaches her, looming over her like a dark cloud. Anger is evident in his face and tone. “What is this?” he motions to the envelope, “is this your meaning of a promise?!”

“What’s the matter?” she questions, confused and a bit scared.

“How dare you have the gall to ask!” he roars. He steps towards her, she’s kneeling by her luggage trying to finish up packing. “I really thought you were better than other reporters.”

Mattana’s face pales.

“But you are three times worse!”

The next thing we know, KhetTawan storms towards his car where Khun Ak waits. He lashes out at his best friend. “It’s your fault- you took her in!”

Meanwhile Mattana is sobbing in her room, first, things are well and then this. She recalls his accusations earlier.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 3.19.18 PM

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she says quietly, tears streaming down her face.

“Well, these pictures!” he motions to the envelope, “You must be satisfied now that you know everything- in which you’re going to divulge and fabricate! You must be amused at me right now.”

Mattana peers at the pictures and recalls him saying, “these women were deceived!” She steps away from the condemned pictures.

“You got what you came for, Miss Reporter,” KhetTawan snickers, “feel free to divulge all that juicy, sordid details you learned!” They were naked, sex photos of his models.

“But you remember this,” he warned, his eyes piercing, gone are the common sense, “I will never forgive you for this.”

Next, there are accusatory articles indicating that KhetTawan’s company is a cover up for prostitution. That KhetTawan’s models are no different from high class hookers. Omg.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 3.21.04 PM

Mattana stares at the pictures and articles in a state of shock. She notices a picture and turns it over, it is Jantira, KhetTawan’s sister. The rest of the photos feature the rest of KhetTawan’s models.

In front of the hotel lobby, Khun Ak and Tawan have a row.

“She has photos of our models!” Tawan exclaims.

“Where did she get them?” Khun Ak questions.

“The hell I know!” Tawan roars.

Khun Ak doesn’t believe it and he defends Mattana, which earns him a punch in the face. The harsh Khun KhetTawan. Just a tad too much for my liking.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 3.21.31 PM

Khun Ak doesn’t rest easily, he pays KhetTawan back with a punch.

“Don’t you understand that you’re being deceived by him again?!” Khun Ak tries to reason. But Tawan is furious and floors the car.

Khun Ak goes to Matt’s room to get a better understanding of what had transpired.

He sees her distraught and crying. She had been trying to get a hold of her boss but to no avail.

“Did he do anything to you?” he asks.

She notices his face in between her tears, “what happened to you?”

“I fell,” haha.

“Where is Khun Ponn?”

“He left..”

“You must know about those photos,” Mattana surmises. “I can swear to you that I didn’t have anything to do with it! I would never write those horrid things or include those photos.”

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 3.23.48 PM

He sees it for himself. His face takes on a knowing look, “It must be his doing. That bastard is capable of this.”

“Who?” Mattana questions.

“You don’t know him-“ why is it that they won’t tell her, obviously this “bastard” has gotten to anyone close to them before, what makes them think he wouldn’t do it again? “that man has bad intentions towards Ponn.”

“I want to explain to Khun Ponn,” Mattana says.

“He’s in a black mood, he won’t listen.”

“I’m sorry for being the cause of your fight,” she apologizes.

“I punched him back too,” Khun Ak says with satisfaction. “But now he’s going back into his shell again.”

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 3.29.05 PM

Mattana cries some more at the thought. Khun Ak tries to console her.

“Can you take me to see him? If I don’t explain to him, I would die with anxiety.”

“You don’t have to explain anything to him,” Khun Ak says, “he should be the one apologizing to you.”

“But I must talk to him- otherwise he won’t come to see me.”

“It’s pointless,” he says, “I’ve been with him for a long time. I know him well. Even if the Abbott talks to him right now, he won’t believe it. He’s stupid, stubborn and nuts.” Haha. BFFs, right? “Just wait,” he advises. “Wait until he calms down then talk to him. By that time, I will be the one to talk to him. Wait for the tsunami to pass.”

“And how long will I have to wait?”

“Even if you look for him now, I don’t know where you would find him. Sometimes he may not return home tonight or tomorrow night. He’s been like this forever. Just let him go, don’t waste your time looking. You didn’t do anything wrong.” He tries to comfort her, “I believe every word you tell me.”

“Thank you Khun Ak,” and Mattana means it.

“Get ready to go to the airport. In 2-3 days, Ponn will head to BKK anyway. Trust me, by then things will work itself out,” he forecasts.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 3.29.51 PM

KhetTawan is escaping to the temple. He serves the children, trying to get his mind off of Mattana’s supposed betrayal.

On their way to the airport, Mattana asks Khun Ak what she should do with the condemning photos. He has so much confidence in her innocence that it propels Mattana to say, “If Khun Ponn can trust me as you do, that would be great.”

Khun Ak smiles, “the more he loves, the more he’s angry. It’s normal.”

Mattana is confused by his comment, but she glances at her phone, contemplating.

As Tawan sits alone, he gets a text, it is a slew of sobbing emoticons from Mattana. It does not warrant a smile. He turns his phone off.

Mattana works on a second text: I’d like to guarantee a 100, a 1000 times that I had nothing to do with those photos- but she stops in mid text, defeated and unsure on how to make him believe her.

Tawan peers at the airplane that passes through the blue sky. He’s unmoving.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 3.30.24 PM

The beginning of Mattana’s distraught, confused and crying commences. She arrives to a quiet home, no one about. She starts to tear up and falls on the couch sobbing. She goes into her younger sister “Sittee” room first, thinking that she’s all alone. There is a tank in the corner with turtles. That’s KhetTawan, haha!

Her sister Sittee is actually laying there and jumps up, the two scared each other.

“Was it fun?” her sister questions regarding her trip to Phuket.

Mattana face saddens.

“What’s the matter? Are you unwell?” she feels her sister’s forehead for a fever. “You’re not hot.”

“Can I sleep with you?” Mattana asks.

“I know what’s wrong,” Sittee guesses, “you’re lonely and sad right?”

“How did you know?”

“I used to be that way,” Sittee explains. “People who travel for awhile and finally come home, they get depressed like that.” Isn’t that the truth.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 3.31.15 PM

“It gets worse when you unpack your clothes and wash them,” she continues.

Mattana ‘s faces looks like she’s saying, “great…”

“Can I sleep with you for a bit? I don’t want to be alone,” she says instead.

As she lies down with her younger sister, she holds her close and mutters, “If I don’t have to wake up would be great too.”

On the other side of the country, Khun Ak finds Tawan by the cliff. He readies his fight stance in case his friend decides to go in for another fisticuffs.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 3.34.01 PM

“I’m sorry,” KhetTawan says instead.

“You have to hire Khun Salinee to tend to my wound,” Khun Ak demands, hehe.

“Such a whiner. How did you know that I came here?”

“I was thinking about a spot where you can stop missing Mattana so much-“

Tawan gets up angrily, “Will you stop talking about her?!”

“Isn’t two people hurt enough?” KhetTawan questions.

“It’s more like three people are hurt..” Khun Ak says.

“You’re still defending her?” KhetTawan exclaims.

“Let me ask you something- do you really believe she would do that? Incorporate photos and articles that will ruin you?” he looks at his friend, “do you know what she told me as we were heading to the airport?”

KhetTawan could only sneer. “She fabricated a story for you again, don’t you realize that?” He does what he does best: walking away.

Mattana has a heart to heart conversation with her younger sister. She was observing the turtles swimming in the tank when Sittee notices how crestfallen she is.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 3.35.14 PM

“Do you think people could fall in love in a matter of weeks?” Mattana questions the younger woman.

Who could only jump to conclusions, “Don’t tell me that you fell in love with someone in Phuket?”

“I don’t know,” Mattana looks away, which is pretty telling.

“It’s P’KhetTawan right?” Sittee surmises. Smart girl, no wonder she’s going into law.

“How did you know?” Mattana asks.

“Not very difficult, you went to Phuket for a few weeks, interview only him- and besides you used to be his fangirl- so if you don’t fall for him, who else would you fall for?” Sounds pretty straight forward.

Mattana immediately tears up, “I don’t know whether the feelings I have is love or infatuation. I did used to be his fangirl.. but now it doesn’t matter.. because he hates me.” She starts to bawl.

“Please don’t cry- tell me all about it,” her sister encourages her. But Matt shakes her head.

Sittee offers some affection and wipes her sister’s tears away. She prompts her to head downstairs for dinner with the family.

Which is a little awkward and strange. Wouldn’t you think that since Mattana had been gone for weeks, that her family would run to greet her, hug her or- something? But they just sit around the dinner table, solemn faces, waiting for their presents.

“I thought you were setting up shop at Phuket,” her mom chastises.

“Don’t be sarcastic,” her father says quietly.

Mattana’s mom directs the next comment to her, “once you have your own child you’ll know (how I feel.)”

Mattana looks at her mom sadly, “that’ll be kind of hard seeing that I’ve never had a boyfriend before..”

Sittee chimes in, “except for unrequited love!” haha. Mattana pinches at her younger sister.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 3.36.15 PM

She gives a present to each sister and her parents, but her mom remains stoic. Mattana apologizes to her mom and promises not to do it again. The family starts asking her about KhetTawan, and so Mattana could only put on a normal face.

That night she cries again while Sittee tries to cheer her up.

“What are you going to do next?” the younger woman asks. “Don’t tell me that you’ll wait until he contacts you?”

“That’s probably what I’ll have to do..” Mattana’s voice trails off.

“What if he doesn’t? And doesn’t contact you for the rest of your life?”

Mattana cries and looks away.

“What happened to my talented sister? Is this my fake sister?” Sittee questions.

“I just can’t sort through anything right now. I am confused. I don’t know if Khun Ak had the chance to talk to Khun Ponn yet.”

“Why don’t you wait until he comes to BKK and try to find a moment to explain to him? Maybe by then he’ll stop being mad?” Sittee advises.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 3.37.29 PM

“Sometimes just letting it go is good too,” Mattana says. She hugs herself, “This must be what the boss is referring to, that if you are too attached to your cases and when it’s done, things just go back to the way they used to be. He’s a famous actor, why would he even consider me? He is surrounded by many beautiful models.”

“From what I gather from you, he must have some feelings for you, otherwise why would he take so much care of you?”

“That’s crazy. There’s no way…” Mattana denies.

“Stop denying it. If he doesn’t love or like you, why would he be so angry with you? If anything, he would sue you or yell at you. He wouldn’t treat you like that.”

“What kind of rationale is that?” Mattana asks, “that doesn’t make sense.”

“It derives from novels and series I’ve watched. The Pr’ek (leading man) falls in love with the Nang’ek (leading lady) and when he gets disappointed, he becomes truly angry and there’s a lot of slaps and kisses.” Haha. And she continues, “it’s a good thing he didn’t rape you.” Lol.

“You are insane,” Mattana surmises. “Don’t compare my life to that of those stories.” She walks away from her nonsensical sister.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 3.38.23 PM

Back in Phuket, Khun Ak is still trying to make a case for Mattana. “I still don’t believe that Mattana is responsible for that.”

“How long will Mattana’s fan continue to harp for her?” KhetTawan says sarcastically.

Khun Ak is unfazed, “Deep down you don’t believe it either. But you’re angry and now your conscience is shattered and you turned crazy,” lol.

“Just stop talking. Do you not have anything to do?” KhetTawan replies, irritated with his incessant friend.

“Don’t you want to know what she told me?”

“Just say it quickly or I’ll lose my patience.”

Khun Ak recites the scene in the car while he was taking Mattana to the airport.

“There is something that bothered me,” Mattana starts, “I was assigned to come here because some unknown person had called my boss that they have information pertaining to Khun Ponn.”

“Really?”

“Yes,” Mattana answers, “they even said that they had evidence relating to the murder too.”

“And what else did they say?” Khun Ask questions.

“-that they would continue to send us materials. But if they sent it to my boss, there is no way he would send it to me. He would never incorporate these photos to the scoop for sure.”

KhetTawan asks his friend, “And what are you trying to tell me?”

“That I believe she doesn’t have anything to do with this. This is Chane’s doing,” Khun Ak says. “He’s behind this. It’s his vendetta and he’s using Mattana to get to you. I feel badly for her- she’s interviewing you from the goodness of her heart.” He looks at his friend, “you were too harsh. You should go to BKK and apologize to her. But if you think that she’s just another bad reporter that comes and goes in your life, and you never want to see her again, then just forget about it.”

KhetTawan seems to consider this and leaves his friend’s sight.

That night Mattana tries to start on her article. Her sister Sittee comes into her room and demands another present, she feels that the scarf doesn’t suit her. Resigned, Mattana tells her to dig in her luggage and take what she wants. Sittee finds the pouch, those marbles, and asks for them since Mattana says that they were fake.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 3.39.00 PM

The next morning at Chane’s office, his minion asks him if he wants to retrieve the marbles back. But Chane, with his overconfident self, says that she’s currently head over heels for him and they had other things to deal with prior to retrieving it.

But Mattana is head over heels for someone else and can’t seem to gather her thoughts or get herself back to her normal frame of mind again. She muddles through the day, being depressed and unsure of how to right things with KhetTawan again.

Meanwhile KhetTawan decides to leave to BKK a couple of days early. He tells Khun Ak that he had something to deal with, while Khun Ak assumes that he was going to reconcile with Mattana.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 3.53.18 PM

The three musketeers are together again! Each however, has something they are hiding from each other, not yet ready to admit the new man in each of their lives. Mattana chats with her boss who encourages her to go ahead and write the scoop in her own way and he will deal with any backlashes. Once she is done writing it, he would have the lawyer look it over first to ensure it is good to go. Mattana ponders to herself if he would fix or deal with matters of the heart too. Lol.

The three girls try to look tough while getting their boss to take pictures of them for their “3 Musketters Profile.” Yet at lunch, the three is silent, careful not to tell each other about what’s going on in their lives. Mattana only shares the bare minimum.

“Did he give you a detail interview?” Mee questions Mattana regarding KhetTawan.

“Some of the things that he told me, I cannot write about..”

“What’s he like then?” Waree asks next.

“He’s a gentlemen. Sweet. But when he’s angry, he’s so mean. When he found out that I was a reporter, he kicked me out like cats and dogs,” Mattana explains. “He hates reporters in general (our profession.) He thinks we are easily bought, that we like writing lurid details and fabricate news.”

The two look at her, expecting more.

“End of story.”

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 3.55.28 PM

“That’s it?” Waree asks. “There’s nothing fun to listen to.”

Waree starts to suspect they are hiding something from each other, as their minds seem to be somewhere else entirely. She tests her theory by texting the two girls, who seems to be expecting a text from someone else. As Mee and Mattana peer at their phones, they get caught by Waree who gives them a suspicious look.

“It’s time to come clean,” Waree says “I’ll go first, but if you can’t confess the truth, then you can leave the group!”

They stare at each other with wariness.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 3.56.29 PM

Some time later, Mattana sits on her couch and wonders when all of the feelings would go away for once. Frustrated, she glances at her phone, “Fine, whatever happens happens!” She dials his phone number but he doesn’t answer. “Not picking up your phone?! Then we’ll have to see each other!” Hah, she books the next flight to Phuket. Persistent indeed.

Chane stalks Mattana, he tries her work phone then sneakily finds her home phone. Sittee answers and thinks that he is KhetTawan at first, but she’s smart enough not to divulge everything. When she asks what kind of friend he is to Mattana, Chane hangs up. How rude. But instead, he gets a call from Mattana herself. She tells him that she’s on her way back to Phuket. He immediately books a flight back to Phuket too.

At the airport, KhetTawan’s crew is just arriving while Mattana is about to leave. She learns from Khun Ak that KhetTawan is nearby. She immediately rushes to find him.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 5.35.17 PM

Mattana stops him from walking, “Please, can we talk?”

“I don’t want to see you right now,” KhetTawan says through clench teeth.

“I beg you please-“ Mattana pleads.

“Get away,” he spats. Aw so mean. “Do you want me to be recognized? You want to make the news, don’t you?” he accused. Hey back the truck up!

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 5.35.46 PM

Risa emerges angrily and pushes at Mattana, who doesn’t want to cause a scene.

“You are shameless, this man is not playing with you. Stop pressing,” Risa spat.

Khun Ak rescues Mattana away from Risa who was about to give Mattana a showdown.

Chane is observing all of this from behind a banister.

“You really shouldn’t do that to him,” Khun Ak chastises nicely, “you need to give him time and let him think for himself.”

“I can’t stand it,” Mattana starts to cry, “If someone you care about is mad at you but you didn’t do anything wrong, you wouldn’t be able to stand it either.”

Khun Ak tries to talk some sense to her. “So you’re still going to Phuket?”

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 5.36.07 PM

“I’ve already checked into my flight,” she says.

“You’ll waste your time. Who are you going to see?”

“Maybe the Abbott,” she says.

“Really? You want me to believe you?” he questions. “Ok, I understand.”

Mattana tries to explain her condition, “it’s like a rug is being pulled from under me. I feel so sensitive right now. I want to go back, relive the good feelings I have in Phuket. I want it to remind me of the good times.”

“Well, if you think it will make you feel better. Go for it.” Before he could say anything else, he gets a call from his “dad” haha. He wishes her luck and leaves.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 5.36.39 PM

At the beautiful, sprawling hotel, Khun Ak tries once again to talk some sense to his friend.

“You know who is responsible for this,” Khun Ak starts. “She won’t have the ability to procure those pictures. If it was that easy, your life would be ruined eons ago. Someone is behind this and it’s no one else.”

“You done talking?” KhetTawan asks. “I’m tired.”

“Get out of your shell Ponn. Go back to Phuket and reconcile with her.”

“For what?”

“You should be able to answer that yourself,” Khun Ak answers. “Outside of Parn, I don’t see that you care about any other females other than Mattana.”

KhetTawan just walks away.. he sees Risa in the corner listening. The woman could only ask if he wanted something cold to drink to cover her faux pas. She’s bad news bears. Probably leaking information to that Chane fellow.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 5.37.34 PM

At Phuket, Mattana stares at the beach before her. As she turns around, creepy Chane is behind her.

“Do you and Tawan like each other?” he asks. “I didn’t misunderstand, did I?”

“Why do you think so?” Mattana questions back.

“I feel like you care about him..”

She tries to give him an example, “If you misunderstand me and I didn’t do anything wrong, I would try to reconcile with you too.” Uh, not exactly the same way..

“That makes me feel better then,” he says and takes her hand. Ew.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 5.37.58 PM

“Don’t forget that you promised I would be the first person you would give a chance to.”

She tries to laugh it off and removes her hand, “you’re funny..”

“Those marbles.. do you still have them? Or did you sell them off and now forget where they are at?”

“No,” Mattana immediately says, “I kept them at home.”

He smiles at her, “thank you for reserving some importance for me.”

Mattana decides to make her way along the beach, he thinks he has her in his grasps.

That evening Mattana finds herself at the cliff, nostalgic and watching the sunset.

Over at BKK, a man watches the sunset too, as much as he’s trying not to think of the woman by the beach.

Khun Ak gets all sentimental watching his friend watching the smog (there’s probably no clear sunset in the city at this time) and he says that someone else is watching the same sunset too. Hah.

Screen Shot 2013-05-01 at 5.38.26 PM

Our leading guy is so obstinate. He says that she has changed his perception, but deep down, he’s still waiting for her to disappoint him, to hurt him. Once you’re set in your mindframe, it’s hard to come out. No matter how much you try. You are already biased.
