Dao Reurng Episode 1

Posted on July 13, 2013

If you are allergic to laughter, don’t have an affinity for slap stick comedy, or hate beautiful and natural upcountry-side, then this lakorn might not be for you. Because Dao Reurng, our newest weekend (summer) lakorn is about to make you laugh out loud. I couldn’t stop shaking from the laughter. Maybe I’m just so easy to please. But I love a lakorn that can make me laugh, let’s see if they can make me feel too. From Feel Good Entertainment, we have Yaya Urassaya as Dao Reurng and Por Thrisadee as Palat Jin (Jintawat.) Por mentions during Krop Krua Bun-terng (TV show) that people are calling him Jing and not Jin, the lakorn hasn’t even aired yet and people are messing up his…

Next Recapping Project: Dao Reurng (Summary)

Woot! In this lakorn remake, Dao Reurng, starring Por Thrisadee and Yaya Urassaya, we are going to leave the fancy pants in Bangkok and don our plaid shirts (with a gun holster) in the upcountry. From No Problem Production by Mam Thitima and director P’Num Krit, which brought us the lakorn that went straight to my heart, Phoo Yai Lee Gup Nang Ma, Dao Reurng will encompass the quirky, funny and adorable aspect of countryside comedy, but with a different flare. Things are much more abrasive, a tad more dangerous and all the more torturous for our pr’ek Por Thrisadee. He plays Jin, a newly enthusiastic, inexperienced Deputy (Bpalat) from Bangkok who gets stationed in the countryside. This particular village is a tough gig,…

“Phu Yai Lee Gup Nang Ma”- Headman Lee and Ms. Ma

In the summer of 2009, Ploy Chermarn and Por Thrisadee embarked on a fun, kick off your high heels, dig your feet in the buffalo’s mud romantic comedy lakorn entitled “Phu Yai Lee Gup Nang Ma” (Headman Lee and Ms. Ma) produced by Mam Thitima of No Problem Production. Inside this Channel 3 drama, we have a country boy meets city girl, Lady and the proverbial Tramp type plot. Despite the atypical, overly done up storyline used in many lakorns, “Headman Lee and Ms. Ma” manages to stay authentically upcountry- thanks to Por Thrisadee’s fine Suphan accent- and endear us with a very cute drama with staying power. Ploy Chermarn portrays Malinee, a supermodel (as she likes to call it) who was raised in…

Ep 2 Summary and Ranting of “Bhupa Praemai”

lovefia

Posted on June 13, 2012

“I have never loved you!” Pan said to Chai in Ep 2 of “Bhupa Praemai” as she tries to get the reality into his thick skull. Which pretty much sums up this episode nicely, took about 7 parts out of 8 for Chai to realize that they are over, done, finito. Someone should give him the book “She’s just not that into you” or maybe “how to get over a gold digger for dummies” because he’s obtuse and pathetic. Deny deny deny seems to be his motto. Mayhaps you can use your fast forward button on your laptop and bypass Chai’s pathetic-ness, if that is even a word. Better yet, maybe just skip episode 2 altogether. Clearly several things got under my skin,. For…

Beyond the Brightly Lit Night: “Bhupa Praemai” Ep 1 Recap

lovefia

Posted on June 12, 2012

The festivities of Loi Krathong are heavily underway in the brightly lit province of Chiang Mai, as Bhupa catches a woman who ran helplessly into him. Two men close in behind her as she pleas for his help. “They’re going to kidnap me,” she exclaimed as she holds on to his arm, begging him, a complete stranger to help her. The two thugs warned him to stay away, but Bhupa (starring Por) places her behind him and said that if there is a woman in distress, he shall help her. The woman, light skinned and doe eyes, watches in amazement as the stranger fights the two thugs; her knight in shining armor. And she tells him that he is like a hero out of…
