Oh, what a tease.
We’ve gone from London to Bangkok to the island, yet before all of the fun begins, we shall await for Friday.
There are so many reasons to love Mam Gam Dang. It is easy going, funny, enjoyable and utterly silly. Yet it dares to contradict the contrary. Most importantly, I think I have fallen in love with Matt Peeranee. The character she plays, Ana, embodies the ideal female with a weakness that is easily overlooked because she’s so real. The decisions she has made in life are warranted. I get it. She’s a girl you can hang out with, a girl you can call a friend.
Then we have Chakrit who plays Nadol and vindicates why he remains as one of my favorite actors. He’s spot on with his gruff, Neanderthal ways. From the outside there is not much to love- he’s brutal but respectable. Yet deep down, he’s so vulnerable and has so much love to give. We get to see more of his sweet side, which I just about melted.
Together, Ana and Nadol is a match made in heaven.
At the end of episode 8, I find myself falling even more in love with this simple, twisted storyline; the plot of which a brother in law is slowly falling for his make belief sister in law. The development of their affection for each other is done so well. Hats off to Great Warinthorn who wrote the script! A man who dares to flip a typical pretend-to-be-married plot into something so much more!
So they are off to the island in which Nadol plans on buying.. what will happen next week? We see May and Pat conjuring up a plan to hook Ana and Nadol up (not realizing how crazy that sounds to normal people, since he would be messing with his pregnant sister-in-law..) Then the scenes brought Ana and Nadol drunk, in bed. Will Nadol’s conscience get in the way? The final scene shows Nadol telling Ana that he’s locking himself on the island.. away.. to ensure he doesn’t commit anymore sins (like falling in love with his supposed pregnant sister in law??) Is that a little too late? I’m afraid our handsome, gruff Nadol may have already taken the plunge.
I cannot wait for Ep 9!
Be sure to check out Lakorngod’s YT to watch MGD in Esub, yes, she’s subbing the whole lakorn for you =)

Oooh, good to hear that the couple here is working for you. I’m watching Pang Sanaeha more to find out the answer to the many mysteries more than for the main couples. I actually would prefer the 2 main couples to switch partners with each other! XD Well, now I have something to continue with after I’m done with PS.
Not to say that there aren’t any flaws to this lakorn as I’ve mentioned in the earlier post, but overall it’s one of those lakorns you can rewatch. It’s a nice change from so many dramatic ones. The storyline of the OTP is so adorable.. I’m hoping their story will only get better as time goes by (and not the other way around!)
Ahaha… I second Fia on that it is a lakorn you can rewatch. I think I watched episodes 7 & 8 three times now while waiting for Friday come.
Just reading your review and I want to see this lakorn. I love Charik so I know this will be a good one. Thanks.
If you like Chakrit, surely you will like this one. He’s so handsome and I adore his character!
I am watching it without sub and still find it so funny and lovely, really love the chemistry between Chakrit and Patt, CANT WAIT FOR FRIDAY
Waiting ever so patiently! I usually like to wait until gappkoo or prisnatube uploads the full episode on YT so I can sit back, relax and watch all 1:37 mins without interruption. =)
i am not that patient Fia, i know that gappkoo will upload full length episodes but its killing me waiting for that so I just watch whatever kind of uploading of this lakorn ahahhahah, me too bad hhahha.
Chakrit always has kind of so so sweet love look for his N’ek, truly I didnt find him so handsome or speacial b4, but I really love the way he looks at his N’ek, goose bumps.
but he in this lakorn is a bit different, he is like a big guy but just has the first love ever, doesnt even realize it himself, he always cares about her or be attrative to her, but a bit shy and confused and worse he was put in a very weird situation, hahahah, I am gonna love to watch it when he assure that he loves her and yet still thinks that she is his sister in law hahahahhahahah
Prisnatube is pretty quick about uploading full videos 🙂 But you’re right, I dislike waiting too. Fortunately, by the time it airs, it will already be Friday morning my time and I can watch it after work.
Seriously Great wrote the script? I didn’t know he did that.
He did, isn’t he amazing? I would love to see him and Matt in another lakorn together. I’ve grown to love Matt so much that I may have to go back and watch all of her lakorns now, heeh!
Those all the reasons I like this lakorn so much and like you said, it is a twist from the typical pra’ek hires nang’ek to be his wife sort of a lakorn. I cannot wait for this weekend 🙂
This makes me want to go back and watch the one with Willy and Angie Hasting… it has a similar idea where the brother falls for his sister-in-law. The problem is that it is the pra’ek himself who forced the nang’ek to marry his brother, but ends up falling for her instead.
I believe I have seen Willy and Angie’s lakorn.. although, it’s been so long I don’t recall whether the memory is good or bad haha. I’m really showing my age! Mayhaps I’ll add it to the list of potential lakorns to re-watch 🙂
I’m so excited for ep9 as well! I love how even though the OTP don’t always agree on things (and they may bicker a lot), they are so comfortable together. Sigh.. like you, I’ve rewatched a few of my fave scenes, heeh.
Hi!
Thank you yo much for all your MGD-posts! When I read your comments on Matt and her portrayal of Ana as well as about your thoughts of Chakrit and why you love him I had to laugh since you totally put in words what I was only thinking! As much as like the classic lakorn plots, MGD feels somehow fresh and modern and I guess it’s mostly due to Matt! 😀
Lots of love!
Thanks for reading 🙂 I’m so excited for this week’s episode! Matt is indeed a natural and fresh actress. I may have to go back and watch her older dramas!
Fia, thanks for the review! I will definitely check it out…! and it is eng subbed!! yay! thanks lakorngods!
