Is it really over? Someone pinch me. *Ouch. Ok, eleven episodes it is. Dao Kiaw Duen, The Star Courts the Moon, a lakorn title that is worth chewing over in and of itself, has come to an end. It was a great run, funny and serious at the same time- and with a finale that will make you smile. I hope it was everything you hoped for.

It’s a romcom that is actually funny, with a mixture of melodrama. This is a Broadcast Thai production after all. Plans backfire and a few truths come out, but at the end of the day, how will Dao confront the reality that she’s still lying to Khun Chai Jan? I’m just waiting for the proverbial shoe to drop, and it ain’t gonna be pretty, especially when we’ve been told that Chai Jan hates liars. Bring on the drama (but thank you for keeping it funny, Show!)

Fall is here with a vengeance. Usually I try to stay out from the rain, but yesterday, due to a party scheduled for both indoor and outdoor festivities, I’ve never been wetter in my life. It’s both terrible, cold and fun at the same time. It’s one of those things I’ll file under, ‘never repeat, thank you very much.’
October, the month of silly and frightful things, is coming upon us tomorrow. What are you doing to anticipate October?
Lakorn-wise, Ton Rak Rim Rua has kissed us goodbye with the finale on Saturday, making way for our newest weekend installment, The Sixth Sense 2, which is really fitting, no? Very much in line with our Halloween anticipation. This fantasy lakorn has added two new cast members in the form of Top Jaron (Khunchai Ratchanon) and Film Rattapoom (Paen Rai Phai Rak) who will pair with our single ladies in the first installment, Kan and Kat. I was wondering if these two sidekicks will have their own story- so yay!
Please give a round of applause for Jia (or you may know her as J) from Scribblings of a Fangirl. She has done an amazing job committing herself to providing us recaps for Khun Samee Kamalor Tee Rak, a lakorn that I’ve once dropped, but due to her second look at this drama, I am feeling inspired to add it to my list again (as you should too.) Show, why so cute and intense at the same time? Revelations are made, adventures are in store. And there is light at the end of the tunnel, this addicting show, maintaining a consistent 10 point rating in Bangkok, feels like it will be closing out in the next couple of episodes. Boo. But I’d be crazy to say that I don’t want to see how this ends.

It’s Wednesday Wednesday Wednesday. Ah, my cheek hurts. It’s another solid episode for our midweek crack- the only shining, most awesome diversion for hump day. I think I’m still alive from the workweek, although that remains to be seen. Fewer pictures due to P’Fia’s time constraint, but you’ll go on over and watch it anyway, right? So let the fun begin!

You know how I mentioned earlier that Pongjan and Ying Nim’s characters have a lot of potential to develop here, and when acted and directed properly, it can really take off? Yes and yes. Especially regarding Pongjan’s character, he gets even more fleshed out in this episode, allowing for his character write-up and even screen time pertinent to the story itself. Khunchai is still the man, but he best not let a determined Pongjan catch up, because he’s already clipping at his heels. Thankfully there’s all sorts of fun things to stand in the way of Pongjan taking over Khunchai’s number one spot in Dao’s supposed future baby daddy list. And once you find out, try not to laugh so hard.

Sometimes you just need a shoulder to lean on.
How’s everyone doing? Clearly we all survived the week. It’s Oktoberfest galore here, I’m not a huge beer drinker, but Seattle is the craft beer central it seems, so my beer of choice would be an IPA. I’m a hoppy girl. It’s an acquired taste.
A busy weekend ahead for me, sometimes I feel like my work week is go go go and the weekend is just the same, but with the added fun. Football season tickets, catching up with friends, evading the rain (as it’s starting to settle it’s usual splendor)- which only takes me back to Monday, exhausted again. What gives?
Lakorn wise, I’m not watching anything in exception to DKD, which I am still struggling to catch up (work is insane!)- but really you guuys, I’ll get there.. eventually. It may be my last recap for awhile, until I can manage the bearings around me and feel that my feet is securely planted on the ground. In the meantime, I’ll finish my current project and write about random things. Life’s calling. So what’s happening in your life and lakorn life?
It’s Wednesday! Who’s doing a happy dance? Yours truly is! I’m doing things a little bit differently this time: watching, recapping and then releasing the recaps as we go along. Reason being, I may not get to the whole episode by the end of the day. The good thing is, you can read along faster, the bad thing is, you don’t get to read it all at once. Time and energy are two very important factors that play into the reason why I can’t spend six hours (at a time) for any particular recaps anymore, but I’ll do my best to get as much done as possible (in between distractions we call life!) So thank you so much for your understanding.
Some key points to follow: please do not SPOIL others (namely me!) with the remaining parts of this episode. Feel free to post your comments, by including the parts you are commenting about. Are you busy watching another pairing? Perhaps Markim team? My favorite pairing is too busy doing commercials, endorsing products- to get busy with their show. Sigh. But this p’sao will wait and in the meantime, smile at their many pretty couple pictures.
