New Recapping Project: Poo Dee E-Sarn: Episode 1

lovefia

Posted on January 18, 2019

Let’s begin our year by taking a nice, long stroll with Poo Dee E-Sarn, a lakorn that aired back in 2013 on Channel 3. I will endeavor to cover recaps for this, releasing a few episodes a week. This show has that lighthearted, romantic comedy feel to it that keeps me coming back for more. It is to be savored and drawn out as long as delectably possible, and with it being an evening lakorn, there are a total of 31 episodes, in 55 minutes increment. Let’s get our slow burn going, one bite sized episode at a time.

Neung Dao Fah Diew – the 30 Min (or more) Lecture by Greta

Posted on January 13, 2019

Hello Dear Readers! Please give a warm welcome to Greta, our guest writer for a lecture series on Neung Dao Fah Diew. We invite you to join this class as Greta presents the breakdown analysis of the story and historical figures in NDFD. If we’re lucky, this will be a series of lectures! I met Greta through her insightful comments on the blog and have always valued her input. Now we all get to spend some time picking her brains. So without further ado.. I give you Greta. ~Lovefia Written By Greta (@gretutay) I’ve always wanted to write a piece (read: gush) about Nueng Dao Fah Diew (“One Land, One Sky”) since it bears a special place in my heart (but that’s another story).…

Trabab See Chompoo – Ep 24 Final

lovefia

Posted on December 19, 2018

We are here you guys! At the end of the road. I know I said I was taking a break from recapping on this blog, but this show drew me in like chocolate popcorn at a movie theater. I was here for it! What really worked for me was Peat and Kiew’s onscreen chemistry, every time they are together, it’s gold. Peat would do his revengey, douche baggy things, but Kiew was toe-to-toe with him every step of the way. The previous couple of episodes lacked that fire from Kiew and that bad boy quality from Peat, due to useless plot machinations, but the ending had me again. It brought us back to why we liked this show in the first place. If you’re…

Trabab See Chompoo – Ep 23 Recap

Posted on December 18, 2018

Hey Pink Sinners! We are almost at the end of the road, this one is a bumpy ride, pitting one friend against another, with one trying to make amends, and the other going down the revengey road. Will all be forgiven or has lines been crossed and there’s no going back? The stakes are much higher than a game of basketball, that is for sure.

Trabab See Chompoo – Ep 21 Recap

Oh Puppy. Peat goes through an accusation in this episode, and we watch how people he loved but treated badly, react. Will they join and support, or turn their backs on him? The humble pie doesn’t always taste so good.

Trabab See Chompoo – Ep 20 Recap

Things become clear in today’s episode, and the bad things that people do in this lakorn world, becomes something that cannot be taken back. Lines are crossed irrevocably (unless there is a twist beyond twist). I didn’t want us to go down this lane, because I’d like to think that we stick with the “pink” part of this story, but alas, show has a point to prove, and it is that there are some stains that cannot be washed out, no matter how hard you scrub it.

Trabab See Chompoo Ep 19 Recap

Did we dream up episode 18? You know where Peat is, maybe slowly giving in? If episode 19 is any indication, I would agree with Kiew. Peat is very good at acting. In fact, he should just give up his Marketing Manager position at his dad’s company and become an actor.

When in Seoul.. Find your soul (mate) – Trabab See Chompoo Ep 18 Recap

lovefia

Posted on December 11, 2018

Ahem, hello? Anyone still alive after this episode? I swear you guys, 45 minutes is just not long enough to appease my appetite for Kiew and Peat. In the last few episodes the desire to slap Peat was intense, because he was being a douche in every way possible, destroying himself and everyone around him. He found his mother’s journal detailing how his dad abandoned her during their wedding night to have a trysting with Kiew’s mom (who ends up becoming pregnant) – leaving Peat’s mom with a broken heart and she had an affair with his best friend to get back at him. Kiew’s mom stayed away from her dad for YEARs, but in Peat’s eyes, he needed to seek justice for his…

Game Sanaeha Final Round – Second Chances

lovefia

Posted on August 8, 2018

Ah, this show gets me in the feels when they do it right, and the ending is no exception. Our final round draws on a meaningful perspective, which isn’t often explored, in that children can suffer the most pain from their parents. As parents, people think it goes without saying that a parent’s love is unconditional and self-sacrificing. But this show explores how parents are imperfect, parents who love their children without a doubt, but unfortunately show their love in their own way, not realizing that those ways can cause long lasting, damaging effects. But on the bright side, this story argues that even if you fuck up, and even if it’s your fault, you can still have a second chance as long as…
