Ready or Not, Luk Mai Klai Ton Remake Is Here

lovefia

Posted on July 12, 2016

Luk Mai Klai Ton is a beloved lakorn to many, and good lakorns are always up for a remake. You would think that bad lakorns should be remade into good lakorns, because why remake something that is already great and still relevant today, into something good? I’ll be the first to admit that I was wary about watching this, because there are some golden lakorns that should not be touched, like Tawee Pope, and now Luk Mai Klai Ton. How is anyone going to top an already perfect lakorn? But my curiosity always gets the best of me, and I tune in, reminding myself to think of Luk Mai Klai Ton 2016 as a standalone lakorn. Let’s see how Show reinterprets the story, bring…

The Day I’ve Been Waiting For, Episode 1

lovefia

Posted on June 17, 2013

Brought to us by Pordeecam Production team, Wun Nee Tee Ror Koy (The Day I’ve Been Waiting For) is a remake of Bird Thongchai’s lakorn 20 years prior. Headlining our Wednesday-Thursday timeslot from channel 7 is actor Om Akapan (as Prince Nanping Norathep and Jao San (Khun Chai Yai)) and Chat Pariyachat (as Marn Fah and Prali (Bri)). This is an action drama, based out of Kiriratnakorn, but also takes place in Hong Kong. The premise surrounds the events that led Prince Nanping Norathep to flee his country as a wee boy, and his journey to return back to the throne as a grown man. The Day I’ve Been Waiting For not only attests to that dream, but also pertains to a romantic enthrallment…

Ubatheehet Finale Ep 19

lovefia

Posted on December 15, 2012

Everyone, let’s take a deep breath. We’ve come thus far, to the final fork in the road where everything gets resolved, but more importantly, we have the last episode to focus mainly on our leading characters. Because putting the villains behind bars was so yesterday. “If you scream I will kiss you again!” he warns her. He pulls her to the small boat on the beach. They sail towards the minor island and he pauses to show her their spot. “I used to take you here to look at the sunset. Do you remember?” She pretends not to. “I brought you here for a picnic but you thought I was leaving you here stranded. You cried like a child.” “That’s not funny,” she says…

Forgiving Yourself – Ep 18 Ubatheehet

lovefia

Posted on December 15, 2012

We are an episode away from the finale, where Mr. Aroon and Whitney can finally hash out their twisted, angsty love and give us an answer on whether a tragic death- a shared history in which one is responsible for killing the other’s beloved- allow them to end up peacefully together? And preferably minus any further accidental deaths, or contrived memory losses. And it is becoming even clearer towards our finale, that the bigger question is not whether Aroon can forgive Whitney- because he has- but it remains in Whitney’s interpersonal conflict, can she truly forgive herself? There’s certainly a lot of smooches on her journey to figure it out! We continue on from last episode where Aroon is found sitting on the bench…

Playing the Amnesia Card- Ep 17 Ubatheehet

lovefia

Posted on December 14, 2012

This episode gives a closure about Non’s involvement with Yoting, as well as a playback/reminiscent of how the possessiveness from Gusuma came about. Whitney figures out the best option for her to deal with Aroon, and how to push him away forever. They both are, in different circumstances and episodes, so ruthless with each other. Such a sad, toxic love they share. Yoting hires Achit (Whitney’s mom’s boyfriend) to search Aroon’s condo for the cd of his indiscretion with Non. He gets caught by Dekcha and Nut who are visiting Aroon that afternoon. Without determining whom the intruder is, Aroon could guess who sent the man. He says that they did not obtain what they were looking for. He shares the video with Dekcha…

Ubatheehet Ep 16

lovefia

Posted on December 14, 2012

The second appropriate title for this drama can be called “misunderstandings,” because that is the very backbone of this drama, lots and lots of misunderstandings. Typically, this is a tool used in many lakorns, a method to keep the leading characters from reconciling. But in Ubatheehet, they have it in spades. One factor that at least moves the story along (in this episode) is Aroon discovering Gusuma’s secret, creepy fascination with him. This episode opens up with Whitney’s mom deciding to move in temporarily while her father is incapacitated. She and Kongkaew go at it, fighting over the room and you wonder how long Whitney will stand to see them fight. She rushes out of the house, preferring to see to her father at…

Ubatheehet Ep 15

Role reversal today; Whitney is giving Aroon a taste of his own medicine. What I find unconvincing though, is how quickly Aroon is revealing to the world how much he cannot live without Whitney. Does deflowering a woman change everything? Perhaps learning that she was an innocent helps him clean up the misconceptions he has about her? What if she wasn’t? It makes me wonder if he will be as “devastated” as he appears to be. But Aroon is moving along the lines of forgiveness and fortunately, Nut is also. The most interesting development in this episode is the relationship between Nut and Dekcha. These two are so much more fun to watch. Keep in mind that they grew up together, has been neighbors…

Evil Lesson Turn Willing? -Ep 14 Ubatheehet

lovefia

Posted on December 12, 2012

The toughest lesson Whitney learned today is that moving on isn’t easy. Forgiveness is possible, but forgetting deems almost impossible. Especially when things were starting to be wonderful, and she was hopeful that things may be alright between her and Aroon, yet only to find scar tissues forming beneath the wound. Whitney and Aroon made merits together at the temple. He peers at the laughing children in the courtyard, reminiscent of his youth. Whitney wishes out loud that if her parents had brought her to the temple when she was little, she wouldn’t have been so lonely. Aroon laughs at her simple wish because girls cannot live in a temple. Whitney begs to differ because she thinks girls can live with the nuns. Aroon…

A Sweet Reprieve- Ep 13 Ubatheehet

lovefia

Posted on December 11, 2012

Is it the calm before the storm? Hopefully not because our duo is having such sweet moments in this episode. Typically, a sweet moment for Aroon, is followed by some misunderstanding. But he has made progress- whatever mental barrier that stopped him from fully trusting her, has shed slowly- and he’s going to bat for her more than she could ever expect. The tide has changed from last episode- Aroon showing his affection towards Whitney- and now Whitney, having some reservations towards Aroon because of her guilt towards Non. Let’s see how adept Mr. Aroon can turn this table. The sun that promises a new day rises above the sea, shining brightly the following morning. Whitney is on her knees, praying that Aroon will…

Changing Tides: Ep 12 Ubatheehet [Eng Sub]

lovefia

Posted on December 8, 2012

This video is dedicated to Whitney and Aroon’s scene in episode 12. Leading up to this Aroon has been somewhat bipolar in his efforts with Whitney. He doesn’t know how to deal with her. He takes a job as a sea leg and tells Chai that this was the only way to make sure Whitney leaves him alone, on her own accord that is. But he always fails to understand that Whitney is stubborn. Being on the sea is treacherous as Aroon topples over the boat due to a severe rainstorm. In this scene, Whitney stays by his side, does all she could to make sure he gets the financial/doctor’s help as he needs by selling her jewelry, and finally, picking up an extra…
