Welcome! Thank you for joining this maddening and highly addicting lakorn club. However and whichever way you found yourself immersed in this wonderful world of lakorns, I’m glad you’re here, and I hope you’re here to stay.
By now you have come to know that lakorn is a Thai drama series, which is a unique drama series on its own, that sets them apart from other dramas out there (i.e. Kdramas, Japanese dorama, Chinese dramas etc). What makes them unique, you ask? We have terms like pr’ek, nang’ek, nang’rai, slap kiss, R scenes, you name it. Lakorns are another beast in the world of dramas. There are standard clichés that make them lakorns, whether you like it or not, it’s the addicting formula and storytelling format that keeps the fans coming back for more. And that’s probably why you’ve made yourself at home.
On this blog, we will endeavor to bring you recaps, reviews, first impressions and commentaries surrounding lakorns, whether they’re currently airing, have already aired or projecting to air soon.
Since it is your first time watching lakorns or even your first time visiting this blog, here is a page to help you navigate the site better:
- Recaps– alphatical order of lakorns that I’ve written about
- Recommendations– a list of lakorns that I’ve watched and rated. Feel free to peruse the list and pick your choice of what you’d like to see based on my ratings. It is rather subjective, although my input is based on what makes the story great.
- Recap Requests – a spot where you can submit your recap/review requests. I don’t do translation or subtitles, but I would be happy to consider recapping or providing my musings for the requested lakorns. It’s a great place to organize requests also, and readers can chime in.
And I know that some of my readers also understand Thai, but still seek recaps and a place to discuss lakorns.

Post a commentFia, I’m thinking of learning Thai as a third language! Do you have any suggestions as to where to start?
LikeLike
Hello Pucca! That is wonderful to hear that you want to learn a third language. I believe learning any new language takes some time, so be patient my friend. What I find helpful is to immerse yourself with your desired language i.e. Thai. And you’re already starting it on the right track by watching lakorns- so watch lots of it and try to break down the meaning. I would also recommend listening to Thai songs. Supplement your language learning with books and dictionaries as well. Better yet, if you have the time and budget, strand yourself in Thailand! A few weeks ought to get you comfortable with the necessary basics 🙂 The most important aspect of learning a new language is to practice, so find a Thai friend or language exchange partner and talk away. Good luck! Hope that helped! Xoxo Fia

no i don’t like ninjas (like ninja turtles or anime or manga or real ninjas or anything). i just like the concept. dark clothes, lurks in the shadows, a silent and clean killer, and fast too–it embodies my net personality well. what person ‘adores’ harry potter and not watch the finales. i watched the last two movies twice at the theaters. for the finale, i went to the midnight showing in 3-D. it was the coolest thing ever only second to me seeing obama talk! damn my small hometown for not having an imax, i would have gone more crazy. see, don’t get me excited about harry potter…okay now. i just read your PT indepth review. good points. i can never go in-depth like you. i think ppl don’t care enought to read what i think anyway–yet. need to develope my creds.

Hi Godninja,
How’s college life? It is admirable that you’re balancing college and a lakorn blog! Keep up the good work. Your blog hits show how many people appreciate it!
It is clear that ‘adore’ means different things to us. I finished the last Harry Potter book a few years ago and was completely satisfied. The movie is like a cherry on top. Unfortunately as I am abroad, things didn’t work out for me to watch it. I shall partake in theater going when I return to the states. I suppose I’m not a devout HP movie franchise fan, but I’m glad you had a profound experience!
Also, I write to express myself and I tend to drone on too much. That’s why I have this blog, to always have something to write about, because lakorn is an endless topic it seems, then there’s books and life. So I write for the joy of writing.. I’m sure not everyone who stops by reads what I have to say, but I get lucky and have some who do. That’s the best part, finding like minds and making new friends.
So cheers- thanks for subscribing, reading (PT review) and leaving a mark!
xoxo Fia

Thanks for reading my wordy bio Godninja. My fanfics are very old, so beware, but having said that, they’re there to be read, so enjoy? You will enter the mind of a hopeless romantic and a person (at the time) who was sick of lakorns and wanted to write her own. I haven’t gone back and reread so they’re probably lots of grammatical errors lol. You’ve been warned!

Fia, first of all thanks for making this blog. It really helps because I’m starting to like lakorns too. But having difficulty because resources are not as available as other Asian dramas. Im wondering, are you Thai or just know how to speak Thai?
Oh by the way, thanks for the follow! Now I feel like I need to be cautious with my future posts. Seeing that your’s are meaningful and mine’s are just pure ranting. Ahaha.
Another by the way, do you mind me ‘borrowing’ your sensational sites look? I mean, those screenshots and the title for each links? Hehe, thanks!

Hi Bluetsukky, welcome to my blog. In regards to my link page, go right ahead, I don’t mind. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and to leave a comment. I always find that the best part about blogging is ranting, that’s what it’s for right? I think you should continue to write and rant as much as you please, it is in fact what I do a lot of the time lol (along with major fangirling) especially when it concerns rant worthy moments in lakorns. Feel free to join the conversations here, I love to hear what fellow lakorn fans feel about some of the posts that I write. One may not always agree with what I have to say, but it’s nice to have different perspectives every now and then. Indeed, the lakorn world unfortunately is not as large (when it comes to blogging) as the rest of the Asian dramas, so I always treasure discovering new sites. As you can tell, my blog is merely commentaries and reviews about lakorns, and you may find other noteworthy links on my sensational site to feed your lakorn gossip, music and news cravings. Enjoy.

Hi Fia,
I found your blog when i tried to find Miracle Love from youtube. I found your blog interesting so i read some of your lakorn commentaries. I guess i am not the only crazy lakorn lover. 1st time i went to Thailand was back in years ago and fell in love but unfort. i dont know Thai. Couple years ago i accidentally found a Thai lakorn by Aff & Aum in Chinese sub and stared liking it. I stop watching it for awhile because most of the good once has dropped or take forever to finish subbing. I started to pickup again after i came back from my 2nd time of Thailand vacation. I went to Raily, Karbi and now I love Thailand more than anywhere else. I want to retire my life there (although it’ll be years from now), cause of that i want to learn Thai as my 3rd language. Please do let me know if there is any good and fun lakorn to watch or anyone is willing to sub. thanks!

Hi Skyla! A warm welcome to you, thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. Indeed, you are not alone in this crazy world of lakorn fascination! Glad to hear that Thailand has become your vacation/pending retirement spot =)
A recent lakorn that I love is called Game Rai Game Rak and you can watch eng sub on wishboniko’s channel on YouTube. Not sure what your taste in Lakorns are but I’ll always recommend that. Another great one is Sood Saneha. Let me know if you’ve already seen the two and I’ll compile more for ya. You can also take a look at my review page and the lakorns listed there are great as well! Hopefully you’ll find and figure out your own personal taste by trial and error! As it seems that is the best way to do it. Looking forward to our future discussions.. Fia

Thanks for the recommendation. I already watched both lakorns. Sood Saneha was one of the few that I finished. I really like Ann & Ken coupling together. I think they are great match, although Ken is already marry. Well, who care about it as long he has more great lakorns coming out. I watched couple ep of GRGR and wasn’t as interesting to me. The reviews from the island that was filmed for GRGR were the most interesting to me so I pick it up again after I came back from Thailand. The main actors are very handsome and pretty. I don’t know my taste yet but willing to watch more to find out. I am currently looking for lakorns by Andrew C. Greyson. I think he is so cute and know how to act. He got my attention because his last name is so different and also i have a friend name Greyson too. That’s silly! Anyways, thanks again for replying to my message. Looking forward for more great movies/lakorns.

Yes, one must watch lots of lakorns to figure out one’s taste! Andrew Gregson used to be one of my top actors when I was watching lakorns about 15 years ago. He hasn’t played much (since he disappeared from the face of the lakorn world..) so I haven’t really followed his career. I love his dramas, he’s one of the rare actors that put so much emotion into his role. I can give you a list of what I like but I’m not sure if it’s eng subbed.. you might want to search YT, at any rate here it is:
-Look Mai Glai Ton with Suwanant Kongying
-Tang Pan Kamathep with Janie Tienphosuwan
-Torrannee Nee Nee Krai Krong, but it’s going to be remade with Yaya and Nadech, so if you want to see the Yadech pair, I would wait =)
Other lakorns that I like: Sawan Biang (Ann and Ken), Sao-chai hi-tech (Jui and Om), Rak Mai Mee Wan Tai, Ter Keu Cheewit (Weir and Pinky) etc, check out the reviews page.
Good luck! Everyone’s taste is so different, hopefully you’ll find yours!

I recently started watching lakorns again (after so long), and I am really enjoying Mook Liam Petch. That’s how I found your blog… I was searching for the character who played MukDa, so maybe I can go back and watch some of her older lakorns. And I find out that she had a lakorn with Louis a while ago, so I recently watched that & remembered a Fia from back in the Raptor days. LOL Kinda weird coincidence that happened around the same time.
Spazzing over NADECH & YAYA. Can’t wait for Torranee Nee Krai Krong!

Fia…..i’m still new to this Lakorn world and also new to your blog…but I must say that after reading many of your reviews and blogs on here YOU could be the next big thing in the Lakorn industry. You know exactly what makes a great Lakorn so why not utilize it by writing a Lakorn and have some of your favorite actors/actresses in it…..specifically speaking our common fav actor Aum Atichart Lol I think that would be so amazing…..you are absolutely intelligent and knowledgeable and writing skills are fantastic so why not my friend? 🙂

Hi Polynesiangirl, an official warm welcome to my blog. Thanks so much for taking the time to leave comments, and especially for your sweet, sweet words. I hope you continue to stop by. 🙂 Happy lakorn watching! -Fia

Your blog is really nice!!! I blog on Lakorns myself. It’s quite hard to watch lakorns, as there are not enough subbers and they keep getting them down from YT. I just finished watching Full House – Mike and Aom. Have you seen it?? It’s really interesting and funny.

Thank you for recapping all the episodes of Raeng Tawan. As a new addict of foreign dramas, I rely heavily upon English subtitles (thank you all subbers). I used your recaps to understand the story as I watched the “raw” episodes. Especially episode 6 because I always wondered why he staked her out. I also took the time to read some of the other recaps or summaries. I need to watch “Boy’s Paradise”.
