The holiday months are creeping right around the corner with the end of the year looming ahead. Not to mention, the year in review, which I have a feeling that my list is as uncomprehensive as it will be. After the Rising Sun series ended, and after discovering my awesomely life changing news, I’ve been away from lakorns. But mind you, that has only been a few weeks.

Although, could you really blame me? The current lineup has little to be desired, at least for me:

Ch. 3 Plerng Chimplee, Malee Rerng Rabum, Rai Rak Payak Kungfu

Ch. 7 Kularp Len Fai, Prao, Ngao

Other: Likay Likay, Songkram Nang Ngarm, Prao Mee Tur

Initially I was interested in following Prao, but after the first couple of episodes, I was turned off by Prao herself – played by Aump Patcharapa – who pales so much in comparison to Alin who was a diva but so loveable. If I were to choose a premise of a celebrity brat, I would rather go back to Sood Saneha.

I’ve also tuned into Plerng Chimplee, but couldn’t get past the plot or the pairing. Am I losing interest in an actor whom I’ve adored for so long – Aum Atichart – or has he picked up some bad lineups recently that he’s losing his charm? Even muscles can’t keep me glued to the tv.

MAYBE I’m just not in the state of mind to enjoy the offerings of lakorns at this time. I am however, looking forward to future lineups – although I’m not exactly sure when they’ll air:

Neung Nai Suang, Ka Badin, Lom Sorn Rak, Mafia Luerd Mungkorn Series, Tarm Rak Keung Jai

I may check these out as well: Suey Rai Sai Lub for Alex Rendell, and Kaew Ta Waan Jai for Mint Chalida.

If you haven’t had enough of mafias in general, then you’ll be excited for Mafia Luerd Mungkorn Series where four men (Ananda, Tik, Ken and Andrew), and a lady (Janie) take on their individual mafia world. Veteran lakorn actors are collaborating in a series spearheaded by Act Art Production, is this too good to be true? Maybe, maybe not.

I’m just in the mood for a good romcom, where can I find such a treasure these days?
