Sometimes you just need a shoulder to lean on.
How’s everyone doing? Clearly we all survived the week. It’s Oktoberfest galore here, I’m not a huge beer drinker, but Seattle is the craft beer central it seems, so my beer of choice would be an IPA. I’m a hoppy girl. It’s an acquired taste.
A busy weekend ahead for me, sometimes I feel like my work week is go go go and the weekend is just the same, but with the added fun. Football season tickets, catching up with friends, evading the rain (as it’s starting to settle it’s usual splendor)- which only takes me back to Monday, exhausted again. What gives?
Lakorn wise, I’m not watching anything in exception to DKD, which I am still struggling to catch up (work is insane!)- but really you guuys, I’ll get there.. eventually. It may be my last recap for awhile, until I can manage the bearings around me and feel that my feet is securely planted on the ground. In the meantime, I’ll finish my current project and write about random things. Life’s calling. So what’s happening in your life and lakorn life?

I’m watching a Korean drama (Who Are You?), a Japanese drama (Doku/Poison), and a Thai lakorn (Chaotic Blessing), all at the same time. Don’t ask me how I find the time to watch all three, but I wake up very sleepy in the mornings…

Hi Fia, hope that your work will get better and you will have more time for your lakorn posts as I would miss them dearly. At the moment I’m watching DKD which I love as it’s a new and modern story and Janie and Aum are super hot. Also I love reading your recaps and thoughts about it. I skim through TRRR as I love Mark and like Kim but it’s not as good as I expected it to be. I just started to watch Num Baanrai as you recommended it and when it aired I skipped after the first episode. I still think the first two episodes aren’t that good but starting from 3 I love it. Thank you for keep recommending it. Otherwise I would have missed a very nice lakorn.

Hi Tuyah! I hope all is well. So glad to hear that you went back to finish Num Baanrai. The first 2-3 episodes had a hard time pulling me in as well, but the moment she goes to the farm and meets Mr. Farmer, I’m hooked. This topic kind of goes back to the article I wrote awhile back.. what’s more important, the beginning, middle or ending? Sometimes, if a show wants to hook us immediately, they need a really addicting beginning, otherwise we may just give it up. However, thankfully we stuck around for Num Baanrai!

Im watching DKD but real slowly as each lakorn episode is pretty long for my standard..but i loved it nonetheless because the both of them are just eye candies.. am watching runningman now too.. HILARIOUS!!

Totally can relate. 1 hr and 45 mins per episode is killing me. I don’t have the desire to recap as much as I used to, no matter how good this show is! Gah!

Speaking of Seattle, my girlfriends and I are visiting in two weeks. We’ve never been there before so what are some must-visit places? Just a spontaneous weekend getaway from MN and a 14 years reunion with the besties. The party days are behind me so that’s off my list but I love sightseeing. Suggestions?

How fantastic! There are many things to do in Seattle: you can go to downtown Seattle: our famous Pike Place Market, seattle center (space needle), ride the ferris wheel, go down by the pier and have delicious lunch/dinner. If you like coffee, you’re in the right town: Seattle coffee works, Fonte, or even the original Starbucks that’s situated in Pike Place Market. There are museums, libraries galore- and even the EMP, which is the experience music project, where you learn the whole history of music, and you get to play them too. Depending on what you want to do, really 🙂 Enjoy Seattle and don’t forget to bring an umbrella, you just never know when it’ll rain!
