I haven’t written a What’s Up article in a while, which usually showcases up and coming lakorns that I may partake in, because lately I seem to have an idea what my next project will be. Now that Torranee is progressing smoothly and well on its half way mark, I must start considering a new project, as much as that pains me.
Let’s explore upcoming lakorns in 2012.
Below are categorized by Definitely, Maybe and Pass. Please share with me your list on the comment section. What are you looking forward to watching?

Hong Sabad Lai– Por Skidjai & Janie *I’m curious about this pairing
Panyachon Gonkrua– Mark & Kim *for Mark and Anne’s producer debut
Rang Pratana– Nadech & Kim *Although I don’t like the pairing just because I’m not a Kim fan, but I’m watching for Nadech. Sigh, wished he was paired up with someone else!
Dao Rueng– Por Thrissadee & Yaya * for Yaya
Maya Tawan– Aum Atichart & Yaya *must you ask? Don’t you know I’m an Aum fan?!
Now among the definitely’s, which lakorns would you like to see recaps for? Select your choice on the poll below, I’d like to see what the demand is for any one of these lakorns, I may consider picking up the top two or three most requested depending on their air dates 🙂 Apparently the list is filled with remakes and lakorn adaptions from novels- and most of them features the 4+1 Superstar.

This is hard for me to pick from. I want you to recaps all of them.ha. J/K.
I know for sure I’ll be watching all of the lakorn you mention on the poll
except for Maya Tawan and a maybe for Qi Pao . Therefore, I’m debating on
which one out of these two i want to vote for.
I won’t be watching Maya Tawan because I don’t think i can stand watching
the handsome Num playing rai in here. It’s just too sad for me to watch it.
Though i love and like Aum and Num a lot but i’ll pass on that one.
Qi Pao is a maybe because I don’t like horror lakorn. Not my cup of tea at all.
But i would love to watch it for Ann and Smart. And see their chemistry together.
Also, the storyline is interesting.
After thinking my decision is that I’m voting for Qi Pao because it’s not my
cup of tea but also interesting at the same time. I rather have you recaps
that one instead of Maya Tawan because I personally don’t really like the
storyline for that one and again Num is playing Rai. It’s a no-no of me.
Qi Pao it is for me. If i don’t watch it; i can read it instead.haha

Bummer, you’re not watching Maya Tawan? I watched the older version a long time ago and remembered it to be a very good lakorn, especially the storyline. But I understand that you wouldn’t want to see your favorite pr’ek play the bad guy. Qi Pao looks very exciting though!

People are going crazy on Asianfuse about Ann and Smart’s chemistry in Qi Pao… or more like their offscreen chemistry.

What a waste of the cast that RKTF has landed itself in the ‘pass’ pile for its weak plot!
My only definite is Qi Pao. I will check out Rang Ngao but I foresee myself mostly skimming through it. The rest don’t attract me much with the pairings or story. I’m a littttttle tempted to watch Ching Nang for Gun but the story/rest of the cast seems so blah I doubt any amount of Gun!hotness can compensate.

And totally agree with you Fia on Marie in the lakorn. Maybe it could have been saved if they had picked a better “ever-after” girl. She’s the bottom of the list for me in the newbie category. After watching 3NNT and Waew Mayura, I really don’t see the nang’ek material in her yet.

fia I cannot stop lol-ing. still am as I type. majority of the pass lakorn on ur list is from ch7. not that I’m surprised but those are already the lakorns I’m ready to pass up too keke. I would say any of the first 3 u listed. the plot looks like there will be more meat to go around. I love kim but her previous 2 roles were so poorly written.

Me too! it’s so intense. i love ann, her crying scenes gets me every single time. plus, i want to see smart too even his acting is mostly subpar.
Rak Kerd Nai Talod Sod -Mario & Margie *for Mario
Mario…hmmm im skeptical about him. I watch his movie and drama (fisher boy turns rich) and he seems so…. distant, almost like he doesn’t have have the energy to acting scenes.. margie is okay her last drama with boy is mediocre, the character annoys me half the time but she grew on me so.
i want to see kim’s drama too and see how she has improved. it’s weird how she played sister to them in 4 mountains though. 3 golden men was cute and I grew accustom to their romance (SUPER SLOW hehe.)
yaya being paired up with por and aum is strange. she’s a decade younger than both. *crosses fingers*

I’ll probably watch all of ch3 lakorns, but what I’m most looking forward too is Raeng pradtana. I’m very curious about the plot and the pairing. Then on a second plan, there’s Punya chon kon krua and Neua mek 2. I might sub one of the two but I’m still not decided which one ^^
As for ch7, I’ll give a try to Ching nang and Prik kub gleua… for Kan, Rotmai and Pancake’s sake.
That’s for prime time lakorns.
For evening lakorns, I’ll give a try to Manee dansuang. It looks quite cute and I like Sara and Art. Evening lakorns are not intense like the prime time ones, but they do have cute and lovely moments. I’ve watched Sapai phayayom and I’ve enjoyed it a lot. It was a funny body swapping lakorns with lovable characters =)

Quite disappointed that I was a little late to participated in this poll 😦 Oh wella, out of all the upcoming projects, my most anticipating lakorn is Rang Prathana. Not that big of a Kim fan myself but I find her and Nadech match quite well, and very refreshing.

Thanks for chiming in 🙂 I find Kim much more mature looking than Nadech, but I’m open to seeing their chemistry, if any, portrayed on screen. But in the meantime, we get to see Kim and Mark. They just love featuring leading ladies/men back to back!

from what I have seen for the moment Panya chon kon krua and Raeng pradtana are more interesting than Qi Pao. Even the good act of Anne became annoying and Smart play is always the same. I don’t like it at the end didn’t even wanted to know who is the murder.
But panyachon kon krua with Kimberly and Mark made really good and surprising pairs, I seen a new face of kimberly there very clumsy and funny. Mark is very persistent he really want know the secret of Kim and always suspecting something from her.
And Raeng Pradtana which didn’t really catch my eyes at first with the teasers, seem to have more than one surprise everytime I watching, Nadech is total opposite of Duang jai akanee and Kim the queen of the bitch at first slowly became a the queen of angel and Mint who is the opposite became the devil.
