On a day hotter and more humid than normal, with the odd combination of strong wind, and a heavy dose of caffeine at an outdoor coffee shop, I began to think about other bloggers and fellow drama addicts out there (within the internet stratosphere…) I love visiting and discovering new blog links and was wondering if you could recommend some of your favorite website/blogs that you visit on a daily basis and without it, you cannot survive? I know, I’m dramatizing it but it seems for me, going to my favorite websites has become part of my daily routine. What about you?
Categories: Updates
Your site? There are a few lakorn blogs out there but not all share the same tastes or don’t update frequently. :p I also check out Lyn’s blog regularly and visit the lakorn thread on baidu forum (a China site).
Non-lakorn sites I visit daily are dramabeans.com (K dramas/ent) and koalasplayground.com (j/k/tw/c dramas/ent). I don’t watch all the shows they blog about but they help me keep abreast of current dramas and ent news.
Last but not least, my ‘friends’ on livejournal which covers quite a few fandoms.
Awe J thanks- not that I was fishing to be one of the sites you visit, but I’m so happy to hear it. As you can tell, I am a daily fan of your blog as well. I’ll check out your friends on live journal to see if I can find a common interest. I go to Lyn’s blog as well for lakorn news and tidbits and has noticed that other lakorn blogs seldom post as frequently as I want them to, lol. Thanks for the recommendations.
Thanks for visiting my blog too! Though I blog because I fangirl through writing and I would write with or without an audience, it’s always nice to have people read and exchange ideas on whatever topic. 🙂 You waiting for Roy Mai now?
I blog for much the same reason as you- so I can write write write… I’m so tempted to change the channel to ch3 but guiltily enough, I didn’t watch ep 13 yet! It has been a crazy day to say the least, so I’m going to watch both episodes tomorrow and at the same time, hope I don’t come across any information that will spoil it for me. What are you up to?
Well, look at it this way, you’ll have 2 episodes to enjoy in one shot tomorrow before the long wait for another ep! The last time I went nuts over a lakorn enough to attempt watching it streamed live or at least stay up and wait for raws to be uploaded the same night was Rak Mai Mee Wan Tai (Love Never Dies). It’s not a deep lakorn by any measure but it was lots of fun going gaga over Dome/Ploy.
Going for my beauty sleep soon, catch up with ya tomorrow~
I know, it must be close to midnight your time 🙂 Sleep tight! I need to head to bed soon too..
The last time I watched live dramas on TV was Plerng Toranong- only because I did the recaps and had friends from the Phillipines and US counting on it- who signs up for something like that? Gone are my weekends… beauty sleep.. you name it. It was fun but a lot of work, something I don’t think I will partake again, but I gained a lot of new friends 🙂
Ruk Mai Mee Wan Tai.. I still need to see that!
RMMWT is my guilty pleasure. I did brief recaps for a few episodes, you can see if it’s to your liking. I think I’m gonna start my Roy Mai binge tomorrow starting from ep 7 (yes, I’m THAT far behind). I think I’ll get to ep14 when wishy finishes subbing it this weekend.
I’m writing up a post about RM ep 13-14 right now, so beware of spoilers… I’ll check out your tag for RMMWT 🙂 I love lakorn binges, the only aftereffect is supreme joy (well I guess it depends on the lakorn..) I prefer to marathon my lakorns so I can get into it and watch it from start to finish.
Yep, that’s why I wanted to wait till RM finish airing before watching so there won’t be any ‘break’ in my emotions but now I’m so tempted to check out ep14! So I’ll be good and at least start from where I left off so I won’t spoil myself when I get to 14. :p
You bad fan you didn’t watch episode 13 !
Lol I am kidding ! I watched episode 13 yesterday and it felt so bittersweet ! What I like with Roy Mai is with each episode I discover a new thing that I like about this show (culture theme, scenery, acting, chemistry…). Yesterday I liked the ost the most. Roy mai is the first lakorn I really care for it’s soundtrack. Sorry but I am not too fond of lakorns’ musics I find them too sloppy. Anyway about Roy mai I especially liked this soundtrack :

Sorry I didn’t want to spoil you (I know I am a bad bad person) but I wanted you to listen to it and share your view. I like it because there is romantic, epic, sad and death feel about it. In addition it seems like Maneerin and Siriwong are aware of their tragic fate by looking at Aum/aff expressions during their hug seem
Lilly! I promise to watch this video tomorrow and give you my feedback. Enjoy ep 14 because I know you’re watching it…
Fia, my mood still very down after i watched epi 14. Its really heart-broken. hv u watch it yet? This is too sad and when its about death, i can always feel it deep in my heart. I have lost the person i love most before and it was exactly the same thing happen to me, cant think, cant eat, cant drink and cant do anything. It remind me back in my old time and touch my heart…Aff is really good in acting this, a lot better than her crying scenes in JLR or Jai Rao with P’Ken. oh no, i hv to rewatch this with subtitles and it will break my heart again…..
Take a hot shower and indulge yourself with teatime (english tea, milk, sugar and lots of scones and cookies.) That made me feel a little better as I contemplate how I’m going to start my post for ep 13 and 14.
that’s a good idea, FIa. I just covered myself under blanket and go to bed and in the same time thinking the person that i love the most. DEATH is the worst ever, if u love someone but he/she is not by urside but u know he/she is happy then is good enough. It just like what Jao Nang Noi said to the prince:” if u love someone, u want them to be happy”[ i guess that’s what she said when she bowed down and confessed to Prince Siriwattana coz i am still learning Thai] . Ok, let’s pray for more sweet scenes to make us forget this sad and heartbreaking scenes….
Lilly- I do love that version by Aum. He sounds wonderful… it’s a somber song, which fits the lakorn perfectly.
I am even crying ! Lol I discovered with Roy Mai that a lakorn can make me cry. Theother asian drama that made me cry is Painter of the wind with Moon Geun Young, when she lost her “brother” and she was condamned to death for tearing the royal paint.
See you tomorrow
It’s tomorrow! How are ya? You are so right, ep 13 was fantastic! Ep 14 just continues to pull at my heartstrings. What to do with myself until next Monday?!
While waiting for the Roy Mai to end, I am tempted to swing back to Korean drama…. :p. I tried Pong (Nai Roy Ruk) and Noon’s new series but find them hard to continue… surprisingly I keep up my pace with Kon Ruk Luang Jai, perhaps because it is easy on brain… :).
I couldn’t continue Noon’s lakorn either.. I haven’t started on Nai Roy Ruk and don’t think I will lol (even though I am a fan of both Aump and Pong, I just can’t seem to get into it.) I’m on Roy Mai’s high.. hehe.
I can’t wait for reviews ! I cried all night long yesterday and I am still affected by the latest episodes. Aum and Aff make such a great couple onscreen and Aff acting yesterday was Top notch. I loved that she didn’t screamed or overact during her crying scenes. I felt so much for her! Heartbreaking. Maybe she will win best actress this year. Wow ! When I she will stop soon to settle down with…
I can totally relate! The episode grabs you by the throat and just doesn’t let go…
